Ace in the Bush

Hi and respect to the growers and enjoyers. The sun moves high in the sky meaning summer is fast approaching here in the Southern spheres...In the bush, some guerilla holes were preped with organic ammendments around 6 months back. ..After much research here on icmag mainly in the Ace threads , my choice of head stash strains to suit local conditions/subtropics are - Zamaldelica , Tropical Mix Fem, Tikal and some Malawi x PCK Fem germed, that are a month behind.
And some fun adventures in the wilds begins. Younglings are a month old and going in there new homes tomorrow. ..yeeha ! into the nature ! December can be rainy, as can all of summer.
Respect to all cannabis enjoyers , developers and preservers here on icmag...lets get this underway....Sativa's. under the sweltering sun !! :yay:

A Stouter maybe, Malawi leaning pheno of a Zamaldelica. Perched atop on a leaf blade is a biting fly which comes out in the warmer months. Harmless to the Zamaldelica. :)

Got a nice selection there. You'll be enjoying growing them, nice strong genetics and ridiculously potent weed at the end of it.
The Malawi and the Zamaldelica will probably go at least 16 weeks so be prepared for that :)
Have you got a nice secure spot?

Hi Baron Greenback.. Out in the grow area is mixed old pastures and scrub bush. The area is close to sea level with some hills. An environmental forest pest plant called lantana takes over swathes of natural bush. It is unfortunate for the local landscape that this invasive pest continues to take over in places. ....on the other hand ...its a vaguely canna looking, spralling branchy plant that grow high and wide. Great to blend in with a bush garden. A guerilla growers friend for stealth enhancement. Lantana loves and takes over sunny spots...its not to much effort to clear the stuff away as well.
As we private bush growers know...no trace entry and exits help with secure spots..and looking for visible signs of unwanted visitations in the area.
Here is a picture of lantana for the explanation. -- thanks for your interest.

Hi Holeshot...thanks 4 stopping by. Six plants when in this arvo. Warm day 31c..tomorrow back into high 20s. Im within 50kms from the coast in SEQld. Theres been rain in late spring which was good. December onwards are the wet month generally. I went with vigorous sativas so they can be relatively self-sufficient. Good cane or Lucerne mulch is on so get em in, and established !!. ..fingers crossed ... felling confident. ...quietly. The premium genetics will help alot. :)

Hi Holeshot...I retain the top soil , dig out the hole underneath then back fill with the top soil plus --- 5 and 1 Organics, aged cow shit, perlite., river sand, horse poo & sum chook poo too. Organic Powerfeed and Seasol through the season. Not to hot for these Sativa's is probably best.:plant grow:

The lowland patch planted yesterday, like the highland patch plated today , is a mixture of Zamaldelica - Tropical mix fem - Tikal - and mr nice mango haze ibl. There are no real animal theats in this area -- Humans and weather the only one's. Still... little wire mesh fences help protect. ....some things do like to dig a bit in smelly soil. Light Powerfeed and seasol through out planting. Here is lowland. With a Zamaldelica close up. :)

Highland in this morning. phew..!!! done.! Same deal with the setup tho these holes have perlite incorporated and aged Lucerne hay on top. Both spots get good morning sun.
The Tropical mix fem closeup is of a very stinky pheno. No other phnos smell anything like this stella grower. musk and oil fuel..but pleasant. :headbange

Hey mate . Those plots look good.I think I went a little heavy on the 5-1 and the chook poo a few seasons ago. Had a few deficiency issues. I think these ACE plants seem pretty tough . I know the Panama I have in a large pot . Has taken all extremes and coped.Hope all goes well with your grow .

Hi Holeshot. Plots are modest . Bit of a drive and 10 mins walk, not exactly well hidden in isolation but blended real well. The ammendments are also reasonably modest and not over done...plus its been sitting in the ground for 6 months , so plant friendly hopefully. Good to gear about the hardiness of
ACE plants. Thats ultimately whats desirable for my situation. Nice plants u have mate. :;-)

For the Oz bush growers , the bunnings BIG green shopping bags work great with reinforced bottom base of cardboard. G8 for moving young plants to location. Square pots help to keep things stable. Other pic is of my trusty walking stick, light and strong. Good for climbing hills, for snake tapping the brush ahead and general branch and spider web clearer. Its the main stem from a Critical Haze bush grow a few years ago. :)
