Dance of the Sugar Plum Pistils
Dance of the Sugar Plum Pistils
Just finished another round of harvesting the Wonder Diesel gals and thought I would share a few more pics with all of you. I was playing around with the images from tonight and found an interesting view that made me think of ballerinas performing the Dance of the Sugar Plum Pistils
The Wonder Diesel gal I finished tonight was the most aromatic of the four WD's, a very pungent, hard to describe fruity lemon peel with a sharp pine bite. The whole darn place is smelling of it! Here's some of the secondary buds ready for trimming:
Just a few small leaves left to trim...
Let's take a look at a few more Wonder Diesel buds before the chop...

Hahaha, Abby your a pisser, I've never had the privilege of trying any of BOG's Sour Bubble, but from the pic's i remember seeing it sounds like a good choice to me, have fun playing with them, and i'll keep a eye out for some shot's of them.

Thanks doobieduck, I didn't even realize I had been nominated! I'm so glad you like the pics... shooting buds has been a great learning experience for me, and I know has (in no small part) made me a better photographer. And speaking of image skills, I must say I had the opportunity to peruse a few of your threads since I've been back and absolutely loved your pictures, some of the scenes that you do are absolutely wonderful and show a great deal of creativity. I think it's time we took a step back here at the Bud Shack and revisited the genetics of the Bogster. Back when I first started growing again, BOG was the "talk of the town"... and everybody wanted to try his stuff. For those of you that have read through this thread, you may recall it was because of BOG that I came here to ICMAG from Overgrow. I won a bunch of seeds in several of his sponsored contests, and was fortunate to receive more from him after we struck up an online rapport. My only regret is that we never had a chance to actually meet, and take that drive in his japanese corvette out to the Grand Canyon. Would have made a grand adventure!
I miss 'ol BOG being around, but that doesn't mean I can't bring a little BOG back to the Bud Shack! I've had the opportunity over the years to dabble with BOG's gear, and have created a few crosses of my own, such as the Monster Bubble... A Jock Horror x Sour Bubble cross, and an as yet unnamed Lifesaver x Sour Bubble cross.

My friend Weeweeman did a cross with a Sour Bubble x Bubblegum he named Sour Gum that I have a few seeds of as well:

Finally... it's over! The last of the Wonder Diesel is hanging on the drying line along with the Big Cindy as my Christmas harvest is finally over. The flowering room is not empty, having been transformed into a reveg room as I hold back a few of the better Wonder Diesels for another run. I'll be going through the seed stash in the next few days and making a decision on what to do next from the BOG based gear that I have. Can't wait to have a nice big jar full of fat Sour Bubble buds again!
The Wonder Diesel finished up nicely, and despite the fact there were three different phenotypes from the 4 girls, all in all they were very good plants and a pleasure to grow. While I wasn't thrilled with the leafier pheno, it did trim up nicely, and all of the buds had a very good covering of trichomes. One particular gal that I'm keeping back has the most incredible, pungent aroma that I really do enjoy, and the yield was phenomenal... giving me well over a pound from the one plant. The initial buds harvested just before Christmas have cured nicely, producing a powerful body stone that's not too "couchy". It doesn't take much to get a good buzz going, I find myself taking 3 or 4 hits from the 'ol gator pipe and I'm good. At that rate... what I have is gonna last me a looooooong time!
You know, there's only one problem with having a great harvest... it's all the damn trimming! Of course, that just means I'll be turning that trim into bubble real soon!
