Trouble with the ignore function is creating a little echo chamber where your opinions don’t evolve.
i don't buy this, in my case anyway. my opinions DO evolve, and i don't ignore someone for disagreeing with me. you have to be a really persistant horses ass & constantly go on with debunked circular arguments or "alternative facts" repeatedly before i blow someone off. there are LOTS of folks on here i disgree with that i have not "ignored", primarily because i see good points and arguments from them on other subjects besides the ones we don't see eye to eye on. i'd bet most of them know who they are without my posting a list, too. got one or two that i refuse to "ignore" because they are so stupid that they are entertaining, and they know who they are ...:ROFLMAO:

Maybe i am naive but it doesnt need to be like that... dont bring negativities, lets be a friends here,
every one of us have his own problems and when we come here at ICMAG we wish to have some
frienships established in a circle of same thinking folks, some positive vibration, not hate or trolling,

will be a great thing if we could apply that in reality, love and understanding is great.

Wish you all best, lets have a good time together.

he's not on my list. i find myself in agreement with him at times...not ALWAYS, but...:sneaky:;) fuck, i don't agree with ME sometimes.
I'm right there with you! I've read shit I wrote 10 to 20 years ago and when rereading it think, what the _fuck_ was I thinking??? :ROFLMAO:

The only people here that I've wtmkf have been posters who've obviously Trolled me, trying to get a negative response and get me into an argument.

That's usually how I get kicked out of forums like this, so I found it best to use the Ignore function for Trolls like that.

In years of internet use I never thought it would come down to this. Curate. Your. Ignore. List. It is important to use the tools the forum has available to ignore people who are rude, insensitive to others, or are just plain trolls who are not contributing to anything. I have been on this platform for around 3 months and I'm shocked at the way people treat others, taunt others, and menace others. Even stupid shit is inflammatory towards others in that the people doing this are not processing information well nor are they articulating their true condition.

The quality of my experience here improves or declines based on the use of ignore or un-ignore. It's truly fascinating what some people think are acceptable behaviors.

My ignore list grows by roughly 3 people per month. One of the main reasons I do not share my business details is because as soon as you start managing dumb and insensitive information, people will come for you, they will come for your business, they will come. I say bring it on, I am armed with the ignore feature.
"My ignore list grows by roughly 3 people per month"

At that rate soon you will be looking at a blank screen. Is there any chance you could shoulder some of the blame?

I’m glad you find me entertaining :) that explains why you’ve not blocked me yet, I was wondering why you still sometimes respond to my posts.
It’d be pretty pointless debating anything if we agreed on everything, we’d probably just agree not to bother communicating and watch tv instead.

i'm glad she posted this, myself. it has, admittedly, gotten us talking. i agree with having a list. should she have named names ? maybe not, as Gypsy said. but, maybe it will cause introspection on some folks' parts who are wondering "why me? what did i do?" no bigger example of an echo chamber than to leave yourself out of the equation.

it's damned rare that i run into someone with no redeeming qualities or points to be made. you are nowhere near that point, and i don't expect you to get there either. i respond to all thought-through posts, even if it is just to disagree.
