I don't even understand why people have an ignore list. Can't you just actually ignore what people you don't like are saying, without adding them to an ignore list? You know just jumping to the next post? Even if the bad evil people are on your safe place list, they will still have an opinion and reactions to your posts. How does this make you feel safer in any way? If you're so offended by what others say, you know you can just close the laptop and go outside.

So I would go one step further and hide the "Ignored member" post updates and the "Show ignored content" function as well. In addition to hiding the reactions that is. Just make them disappear entirely

You know I feel kind of safe right now with my ignore list, but you know what would make me feel REALLY safe? Hiding the show ignored content button, as well as the reactions. The thread starter feels the overwhelming need to randomly drop in to threads and insult people unprovoked. Also proudly announces her/his growing ignore list in multiple threads. Do a search and you'll see.

Going back to cannabis dot com in 1998, cannabisworld, Mark Emery's forum, Vic High's forum, overgrow 1 and 2, Laughing Moon, IC Mag and some private forums I can't recall ever seeing someone acting like this. The sense of community was so much stronger when cannabis was illegal. Now I see more Drippy Sally types with their condescending arrogance than I care for.



Also feels the need to announce her/his "Nursery License" and education resume for no reason but to satisfy an over inflated sense of self importance. Saying I have degrees in XYZ and you are a dick, only proves the person making such a statement is a world class douche canoe. It adds nothing to the discussion.

What i do find sad is people who have a valid point to make, but feel they need to dress it up with Ranting, grumpyness and abuse to cultivate their 'tough' persona. I must of lost a lot. But what I do find odd is the need to instead of just ignore someone, have a list and a thread to tell everyone. I don't go round at peoples houses to tell them I don't like them and I'm still ignoring them. Def with Gypsy on that in that it just isn't cricket! a simple straightener would suffice much better.

I never needed an ignore list. Even when I had a troll or two going after me i just puffed a joint and enjoyed them putting energy into that shit for nothing. I can be 1000% zen when i want it. So online drama can't touch me.

I remember an old meme saying argueing on the internet is like winning the special olympics. Probably not politically correct anymore to say it, but man, in those times I remember thinking that fits so well on a few ocassions.

those whom i've "ignored" frequently end up banned, i have found. it is not just me that finds them tiresome and intellectually bankrupt.
