Lovely plants Yoss, good work growing these at your latitude, I was just looking at the end of your zamaldelica thread where you left one branch on the plant at harvest and found it in january, think Il try that this year with some strains.

Is Haze/Thai longer flowering than Zamaldelica and how do the highs compare?

Hi there, people!
I didn't took the time to take photos this weekend but all plants are fine.
HxT #1 & #3 are bent backwards a bit (looking from where I take photos of them) but that's not bad - this way the little Panama will start receiving direct sunlight earlier in the day.

Rinse, maybe someone else can chime in and compare the highs of Ace's Zamaldelica and Haze x Thai. I haven't tried the Haze x Thai but I expect (and hope for) a more easy and kind effect than Zamaldelica. I need stash for everyday morning-till-night use, and Zamaldelica is a bit too overwhelming for daily use. I also found the best Zamaldelica pheno (my friend's Z#5) to be, just like a real psychedelic, somewhat unpredictable - sometimes it gives an euphoric rush, sometimes it's dark and edgy. Now, after a 6-month cure, it's more positive and easy, but still feels "a bit too much". The other phenos (that I guess lean more towards Golden Tiger) have more usual speedy high that is not very complex and impressive, just strong speedy/mental sativa that, though having lots of energy, is more introvert than extrovert. Disclamer: maybe I'm just spoiled by smoking non-stop Haze and expecting the other strains to have the good attributes of Haze.

I know what you mean, some strains are just not for everyday smoking, (although some people seem to be able to smoke those types all day no problem).

I like the sound of the gt phenos I do like a simple, caffeine like effect, especially one that wears off without a trace, I dont usually seek introvert type weed though.
Thai I find puts me in extrovert mode, but its a long lasting effect that can leave me dazed/tired.

One of my fav satis is Zambian (from tropical seeds) its euphoric caffeine with no anxiety,, very good for getting the mind active and creative things especially music.

What Haze have you been smoking?

Hi Rinse,

I overall prefer Zamaldelica over Haze and Haze x Thais, Zamaldelica's effect is stronger and has better quality, it's just my opinion. Zamaldelica has also shorter flowering time in average and is more indoor friendly than haze and haze thais.

Hi yoss33,

Looks like the storm was really strong! But don't worry, the haze thais will recover soon after a few days of sun and good weather. The thin and flexible structure of haze and haze thais makes this genetics very resistant against heavy storms and winds, this tropical genetics have been adapted to handle very strong tropical storms in origin.

They have indeed recovered. All plants are fine. Only the little Panama seems like is having its soil too rich for its taste. I hope it will overcome it once it becomes bigger and hungrier plant.

HxT 4:

It has some purple streaks on the base of its stem where it's still somewhat wet due to the humidity that the clovers keep. I really like for how long the soil surface is moist after rain under the thick clovers mulch.

The tops are starting to burst with growth, here's one of them:

HxT #1:

I like it when I start looking upwards to see my plants' tops. HxT #1 is about 240 centimetres tall:

Here's HxT #1's base just to show how strongly the branches are attached to the main stem:

The aftermath of the hail on HxT #1's stems. Looks like asking for rotting trouble in the damp autumn weather, we'll see:

Hi, people!

Here are some photos from a few days ago. All plants doing fine.

Starting with HxT #4:

Nice branching, very similar structure to the Nirvana's Haze that I grew at exactly the same place in 2012. Compared to it, HxT #4 is more compact, darker in color and less vigorous (or is the compactness cheating my eyes/brain?), has no purple on leaf stems but has stronger leaf serration. However, these differences are subtle and it's great to see the common thin stems and structure standing out in the different Haze lines from different vendors and origin (Sam the Skunkman and Oldtimer1).

HxT #1, #3 and the little Panama:

HxT #1 is more on the Thai side in terms of leaf shape, color, structure and robust stems. It reminds me of Nirvana's Full Moon which is also a Thai hybrid. HxT #1 has the same very sweet (+ some coffee in the background) smell and you only need to stick your head in the bush to smell it, no rubbing needed.

The Panama has overgrown the problems (hailstones and soil acclimatization) and is bringing out bigger leaves. Unfortunately, it is shaded by HxT #1 half of the day and besides shares the same soil where HxT #1 & #3's roots are already established.

I'm very eager to know HxT #1 & #3's sex, as I don't want to have 3 plants at that place (plant count insurance). My initial idea was to have a single plant there, which together with the plant at HxT #4's place would make 2 plants in my property. Now I have 4. I'm very interested how the Panama will flower in my climate, so I'd rather cull both HxT #1 & #3. But they are so nice, that I feel wanting to take the risk and leave one of them. But which one...

Yoss, your pics bring a smile to my face every time. You're right about the Zamaldelica - its way too much for me to smoke on a day to day basis. Similar to psychedelics, you have to plan your day around smoking it as opposed to sitting down after work and relaxing with a bowl. One thing is for sure, Zamaldelica is as far away from Bubba Kush as it gets.

That haze x thai you're growing will be VERY similar to original haze, but chunkier, more vigorous and easier to grow overall. The purple phenos will be nearly dead ringers for Ace purple haze (though with a hint of thai) and the green phenos will be the same as the green haze side (but again, with thai). If you're unfamiliar, the green side is more energetic and poppy than the purple side, which tends to be a little more dreamy and psychedelic.

Personally, I prefer the purple for every activity except maybe working out or social situations. If you're looking for motivation / energy, the green phenos are as close to smokeable caffeine as it gets.

Thank you for the nice words and interest, people!

Here's the weekly update with photos from yesterday.
A week ago I removed many of HxT #4's lower and inner small branches. They were only stretching, sucking juices and making the bush too dense. I also removed HxT #1's and #3's lower branches that were close to the small Panama plant.
I watered the plants a few days ago for the first time this season as we are finally entering into the "real" summer with high temperatures and drought. Still no true heats though, only 32-33*C (90*F).

Starting the photos with HxT #4 and #1 in the background. HxT #1 wasn't meant to be so big and stick out above the fence that much, lol. 3 meters high in the end of July is great but, hmmmm, risky.

Your garden seems like a perfect peace of land to me. :ying: Amazing growth on your plants. And good idea to remove some from the smaller branches, look Forward to see the results from it.
