Zanddar...definitely don't stop posting...there are a ton of folks lurking your thread, and enjoying looking at your beautiful plants - just not many are posting, this sometimes happens here on icmag. In your case, I think it is because most folks are speechless :)

It's true.....we're here lurking. I grew a wonderful Afropips Malawi 99 this year, outdoors, and the Malawi Gold half really shines through just as I was hoping. If the C99 Indica side had shown through instead I would still be ecstatic, however the clear, clean high from the psychedelic Malawi is what I was aiming for, and got.

It's a true day-time dreamer with plenty of inspiration and cerebral get-go. Testing it has been a joy as I now add it to my arsenal of favorite medicines.

Smoking some Panama and taking many pics for you.
Hoping you like 1 of them. :)

The Malawi are beautiful and vigorous.
Very nice strong branches.
Lemon menthol and woody smells.
My fingers stick together after rubbing.
I love the Malawi and the Malawi love me.:)

M6 is the largest Malawi. She wants to be a monster.
Some very interesting plants.Beautiful plants to grow.
They need taming.

I like M10 the most.Looks sickly potent.
They grow into beautiful bushes.

Few more days and into flower.

Beautiful, healthy-looking plants there, Zanddar. Congratulations. Can you describe your technique? I.e. lights, flower/veg room setup, medium, nuts? Thanks in advance.

P.S. Sorry the spring/summer grow didn't work out.

Hello komboloi and welcome.

I veg under 1k halide for 18 hrs.

Daytime temps are only 65F.The plants and I huddle together to keep warm.
Helps to build hardy plants and strong relationships.:)
Panama gives a warm feeling all over.

I flower under 1k sodium for 11.5 hrs.

Soilless potting mix.
Food is Advanced Nutrients organic tea,for both veg and flower.
I use pure water and no chemicals. No need to make growing a plant difficult.
I do what works and the plants do the rest.

The purple plant is M10.She has more color than some others.
Could this be the elusive Purple Malawi or just cold temps?
We shall see.:)

M6 is the extreme sativa. She has big banana calyxes.
Have to start staking her early. What a monster she is.
Very strong plant and wants to control.
I may be able to swing from those branches in a few months.
Picking bud as I go.

Looking forward to making seed from these.
They are beautiful healthy plants.

Have a great day.:)

Show Time

Show Time

Thx for all the good thoughts everyone.

Today marks day 1 flower for the Malawi.Yes the day has come.
They have had a 60 day veg.
It may take 4 or 5 weeks for some of these to initiate flowering.
I will take pics when the first plant starts to flower.

Hope all is well for you and yours.:)

I'm sitting back to watch this one. Keep us regularly posted, Zanddar. I admire your patience and hope you are justly rewarded in a few months. What are you estimating for flowering time? 20 weeks? Chucking pollen?

Every Grow is a Learning Experience

Every Grow is a Learning Experience

Not sure on flowering times.
I have not flowered these out before.
Learning experience once again.
Lets find out together.:)

I don't focus too much on flowering times.
The finished bud is what matters the most.
I will update when I see something of interest.

No pollen on these.I want to experience the full power of the Malawi.
I have cut clones.I will pollinate a full plant with these chosen males later.

Good Day

That first picture: I'll go out on a limb and say that there is no better example of a healthy MJ plant in veg.

I completly agree :) Amazing healthy, vigorous and branchy plants, ready to produce a big yield in flowering!

Thanks for the great updates Zanddar! Wish you the best for the upcoming year and flowering cycle.

Males

Males

These males I am trimming back.
They are 75 days old.

M15 has a very sweet raw honey smell.
I remember this smell as a kid, when I robbed some wild bees of their gold.

These plants are so vigorous. The branching so strong and thick.
I can see myself climbing the branches of a large outdoor Malawi.
Smoking Panama helps with these visualizations.

M1 has a lemon menthol woody smell.

Both males are very sticky and strong smelling.
My fingers stick together after 1 or 2 rubs.

The Malawi clones have rooted very strong.
Even the clones are sticky and stinky.

Ace Malawi will blow away the competition.
