Wow! sticky buds no doubt, resin is awesome on that m10, thick buds too. Also sorry for thread jacking, took it to visitor messages after, not sure why I didn't think about that earlier, even then it was bios idea, doh. I have 2 that seem to be faster flowering so I was wandering when you started to flush? Sorry for all my questions, but im a newb compared to you. Great grow report and updates btw, awesome that someone finally did one on Malawi.

You can talk about anything Malawi here.

I am using only organics.Chemicals maybe harsher than what I use and may require less
I fed these the same as all my other strains in the beginning.
I went a bit lighter near halfway.I could see some sensitivity in some plants, but not too bad for heavy feeds.
They push heavy dense bud and need lots of food.Every plant is unique though.

I feed according to bud growth on each plant.
If it is pushing lots of fresh pistils, then feed heavy.
As the bud becomes thick and some pistils turn, ease off on the food.
Only water maybe good enough 3 weeks from finish. I go by feel when feeding.

M10 was on water for 3 weeks.I did feed lightly once to help the bud dense up more.
They put on lots of size in the last few weeks.
It could have gone maybe another 4 days.I think it turned out nice though.

Some of the other plants have good size bud too.
They look to be 2 weeks longer and more.

thanks zanddar, your a great help. I tried to rep you but I gotta spread it out before repping you again, I will remember though. I think your right about the chem nutes, I came to the conclusion that my problem was slight over feed, as I cut the nutes back and they look better, I didn't think about this first as I was feeding about 60-70% recommended, as I said before never grown a sativa before this but I know I've heard they are light feeders, even though Malawi is a heavy one, I assume now it is heavy for a sativa. I hate to bug you with questions, but I know dubi says its best to wait until Malawi muture fully for her max effects, what would you consider this in terms of clear/cloudy/amber tricome percent?

I cut them down when the calyx is swollen and bud growth is near complete.Very few new pistils should be growing.I don't like to let them go past prime or when the bud looks like it is dark and dieing.
I don't really go by tric color, but the bud will take on a darker appearance near finish.Too dark and it is too far.The bud should still have a healthy appearance.

Took some quick pics of the others. Not the best pics, but you can see the size of them is really nice for a sativa.

The first pics are the 2 males in flower.
Will be making seed from M8,M10 and M13.These are the best females from this lot.I like the large dense bud on these sativa.

M13 is looking nice.
Low odor from most of these plants.

M8 is another good yielder.
Has a carrot smell.

Yep, great yield and resin production Zanddar :)

Malawi smell is not problematic in terms of intensity like could be an afghani skunk hybrid but her flowers are much more powerful. The original killer malawi mum is all about the potency and vigour, her aroma is quite rude so we have tried to improve it to produce the malawi in seed form, you can find offsprings with much improved aromas and taste than the original killer malawi mum.

What are your planning for the malawi males ? :yummy:

I am sure there is a smoke report in this Massive thread, but can some one fill me in?

Is this like Zamal?

This is male M15.Chose him over more than 10 other males in veg.
This plant had a sweet wild honey smell in veg and was sticky.
He is faster than the other male.Good to see him covered in resin too.
Big strong vigorous male.Pass along some good genes me think.

I have M8,M10 and M13 clones starting to flower now.
I have 2 clones of each. Was planning to use both males separately on a single clone.
Will be pollinating the whole plant.

I have tried some quick dried M10.It is very fruity tasting.Real nice sticky bud.
The high hits fast and hard.Very good up high.
Will try it again in a few days when dry.
It smelled sooo good I had to try it early.

Good day.

Enjoying smoking this.Lots of resin and potency.
Fruity taste and smell.Strong stony high with sativa energy.
Lasts for hours and another hit is all you need.
Can be scary to the weak.

Definitely want seeds from this.
Will be keeping the clone for awhile.

Have a great day.

Oh man that looks tasty. Great work on the Malawi! I smoked my Malawi x Neville's Wreck this morning and love the Malawi effect. Strong warm and long lasting without fatigue. Very good for a happy mindset.

Congrats...anytime one goes into extra innings (by my standards 12 through 14 or more weeks), I feel like one should get a Medal of Honor. Looks beautiful.

M13 done at 13 weeks

M13 at 13 weeks and could go a few more days, but time has come.
This plant was smaller than the others in veg,but it produced big resin covered bud.
It has a sweet spice and peppery carrot smell.
Making seed from this and keeping the clone.Very nice plant.
