I love the look of the Mazar, even though I generally don't like pink. I'll have to remember that the AK99 is great. I think that will go on my list.

All the best,
Mary

think theres anythign to worry about with the herms from rom?

I can't tell you that...all I can tell you is that there was no stress on my part. No light leaks or power outages, no ph or nutrient stress, and they didn't go too long either. It looks like this one hermied all by hereself...it didn't effect the outcome too much either as it happened at the very end of her cycle.

AK99 @ 44 Days...

B...

A..

C and D...last two are very similiar...

There are all soo nice...I just love the smell on these. The top three pics are of plant B, my favorite phenotype. It is the most resinous of them all, it is in 2nd place for overall mass, and it has the stout cherry smell. The next three pics are of my second favorite of this group. It has the most mass, and the smell as well. The last pics are of the remaining two plants...both look identical in shape and smell the same as well. They are ok, but the other two are the winners!!!

I have been playing around with organics lately, read a few books, asked a couple of questions...and I have come to a conclusion. I will never use a salt based fertilizer in soil again. To do so, doesn't make much sense to me. I have also taken on a new approach to gardening. Feeding the soil, not the plant.

Did you know that there are more microorganisms in one hand full of soil, than there are animals in all the rain forests combined. Not all of those are beneficial to plants, but a majority are. We should be using these little buggers to our advantage. When we can incorporate microorganisms and fungi and all of the other beneficials to our soil, we are forming a mini ecosystem perfect for plant growth. There is no doubt that there is a symbiotic relationship that plants have with soil when using organic techniques.

A lot of attention is paid to conditions for the plant...humidity, temperature, light...but little attention is paid to the life under the soil line. I think that if we focus on what is going on underground we will have a better understanding of what this plant is all about.

This is what I am working on...

The stars and Mazars, as always, will be there. A couple new strains to try, Black Domina and Super Skunk. Both are excellent smoke, and part of me just wants to clear the room for Domina only, it is that excellent. Appolo mist found her way over here too so I cant wait for that one. So my slate is pretty full and is only getting fuller each day. I have so much seed to try, but with all of these fine genetics I have around I don't see why I should pop a seed....

....but I couldn't handle it, I had to start some.

I suppose I'll find one or two keepers out of there.

Thanks Sunny, looks to me like they can grow as nice lil untopped xmas tree style bushes, or topped and tweaked a bit. They look good both ways. Thanks for the picks dude. I would have to say they are on my list. I bet the aroma is lovely eh?

Seriously Bonz...these AK99's are some of the best I have ever grown...or even seen for that matter. All four females were fantastic, with little variation. The smell and taste are incredible. I've had one person tell me cherries, one say sweet pumpkin, and I think it tastes and smells like martha white's blueberry muffins. You can't tell me that the smell isn't complex lol. MMMmmMm GOOD. The buzz is really nice as well. Strong and stoney, but not lethargic at all. If you see AK99's by joey seeds...grab em up cause they are the bomb baby lol.

got so busy telling you about the aroma...I forgot to mention...I topped half and left half untopped. Both look to yeild close to the same, topped with a slight advantage. When left untopped the plants grow into "christmas tree" style plants...topped, they develope two nice heads...rivaling other strains main cola's.
