Ok I promise I'll post pics of the light tomorrow night ;)

2buds...I get this question asked alot, so I have decided that I am going to compile all of my grow info together including feeding schedule, lights, ventilation, all that info, and post it on the first page of this thread. I will let you know when I do post it up. Until then...

Bloody nice grow Sunny,
But I wouldn't expect any less from you!
I like your experiment with the fluros, they seem to be working well.

MGJ...I am using a black bed sheet. Its pretty basic and works well. It will sometimes look different colors depending on the lighting that I use.

as for the fluro's...The super-efficient Sunleaves Satellite II fluorescent fixture delivers high yields with just 210 watts. Its two TT-105 fluorescent bulbs easily illuminate a four-foot area, and the shallow unit design requires less vertical clearance than most other lighting systems. Best of all, both fluorescent "grow" and "bloom" bulb types fit the Satellite II so you can stimulate vegetative growth or fruiting and flowering as you like and grow plants to maturity. Satellite II Bloom includes two "bloom" bulbs.

I'm runnin a T5 with 4 4' 100w bulbs. I use two bllom/ two gro to control stretch. Works nice.

good grow as always sunny......i'm having the damndest time growing out this bubblegum kush!.....it was growing pretty good, nice indica type leaves, then around 3rd-4th week of flower i start to notice a change in the leaves structher......they are having like 9 blade leaves now....and it's done really put on some stretch!....not to mention her bud sites arent as developed like my other indica's....do you know if this is really more sativa dom., and she going to go a lil' bit longer than expected? please assist a grower!...i don't know what the hell is going on!!

stunning...:yoinks:...breathtaking...:yoinks:...quite healthy and happy plants indeed...

although i am unsure about how much UV-B light (if any) the Satellite II bulbs produce I can only assume from both these sets of pics that the Smoking Experiences will be virtually identical to the H.I.D.-raised-plants....

so is it safe to say the difference in yield between the Satellite II and an equal
wattage of H.I.D. bulb would be like.....30% less? more like 40%?

even though you can't grow as many plants under a Satellite II fixture as you could
with a comparable H.I.D. bulb wattage, i daresay that the plants under the Satellite II
fixture will be healthier in general because there are no hot-spots with the Satellite II
bulbs.....i have theorized for a long time now that infinitesimally tiny hot-spots are
invariably created under an H.I.D. bulb due to incredibly small defects in the sheet
metal of the reflector.....perhaps reflectors from Bell Laboratories and PL Reflectors
and Gavita internal reflector bulbs are exceptions to this general rule based on the
high quality of these products but this is unconfirmed and pure conjecture....

perhaps the next experiment would be to mount the Satellite II bulbs vertically and
surround the plants with lumens from all sides in order to produce a more balanced
set of floral clusters and an increase in overall bud weight....worth investigating....

-kind regards from yer pal the guineapig :friends::wave:......
