A perfect cure every time

Hi Simon, Thanks for the link. One question, my jars are in the cure zone 60~65% RH. Should I open them to give them fresh air or leave them alone?

Peace, Gabs

I'd leave them alone and keep on eye on the RH. If it keeps rising, even slightly, open the jars for about a half hour. If the RH remains constant, open the jars to take a whiff once a week. Sounds like your harvest is doing well.

Grow Clean.... Go Fast!
Being up to 3 degrees off and only in Celsius would seem to make it useless really. I would just spend the little bit extra on an accurate one (and I guess personally one in Fahrenheit).

I don't know... @ 1/3 - 1/2 the cost it's pretty appealing, I would hope you're buying a calibration product to go with your new meters. If they are off by a consistent amount at different moisture levels it would be easy to mark the meter and know what to look for. Maybe if you only have one jar to cure it'd be an easier decision to go with the caliber... but I'm going to have five jars, and I've only got a 400w.

One of the best threads of all time, Simon. Thank you for sharing it.

I'm using Xikars in ziplock produce bags and all the guess work is gone! I don't know if Xikar quality is on par with the Caliber IIIs, but they are smaller. About the size of a silver dollar.

Hi guys!

I recently chopped some Easyryder and dried them 4-5 days inside the grow chamber above the lights. They felt quite dry, so I put them into jars together with a hygrometer. But the RH never goes above 45%. Have I dried them too long?

Anyways, I let them sit in the jars for 3 days. Opened them yesterday and it smelled very funky.... Not very nice actually. But the smoke was good and potent as hell though!

Any ideas for what I can do? Do I need to open the jars every day to let in fresh air?
