A Little Taste of the Himalayas in New England

Afternoon, Moose.

The soil around here is notoriously rocky and can be difficult to dig in, so I decided to do this grow in my vegetable garden, where I've been laying down good, organic matter for years. The soil mix was pretty simple. Most of what I used was just laying around or leftover from past seasons.

Lets see.... A bale of promix, compost, potting soil, Espoma Bio Tone, crab and lobster meal, kelp meal, lime and perlite.

For feedings I used Neptunes Harvest products, which I've always been a fan of.

Garden is pretty far back from the house, but I managed to get a hose that just reaches it. I can't imagine having to schlep that much water back and forth.

And here is one more pic I took yesterday evening. This one is more pungent than the others and has a strong trichome production.

Now THAT was a hell of a storm we had last night! Intense rain and wind gusts up to 69 mph. Power is out in a lot of areas and town workers are busy clearing downed tree limbs. I just got done pulling the plants back into their upright positions and although slightly battered, I got away with only a few broken branches. Will probably start harvesting the rest this weekend into next week.

I can't believe they are still going thru all that mess... how are the flowers holding out? Can you estimate at all what kind of yield you are looking at? 2 plants? or more?..I bet you are looking forward to sampling that:smoker: ...peace

I staked the plants pretty good and the top half is extremely flexible, even in those crazy winds, which by the way is finally subsiding. Flowers look amazing and although I did notice one tiny spot of mold, it's in no way widespread. With 5 plants, I'm anticipating filling at least a few 5 gallon buckets for curing and storage. Its kind of hard to gauge what the yield will be since some of the plants have very airy buds - so it might look like more than it actually is.

Bud shot time! I spent 6 hours processing today and although my back is killing me, its extremely rewarding to know that I made it through the season. Still got another day or so to go until I'm done and then it'll be time to make some hash!

Similar to when in flower - pineapple and mango - although the floral notes are coming out more since drying and there's a pungent scent that I can quite put my finger on. My mom was over today and she's someone who HATES the smell of weed, but said this stuff was kind if nice lol. Pretty sure it's the skunk aroma that she dislikes. I'll probably vape some in the coming days and will definitely report back on effects. Here's a couple more pics from the plants that produced the the more airy and wispy buds of the bunch. Flash and no flash. And thanks for following the thread :tiphat:

Wait, 20 feet, and you're wondering 'how much bigger they could grow with maximum space'? Good gravy! :plant grow:

That looks like a whole lotta bud there--I hope you and your twelve best friends love it! I, too, am looking forward to a report on the effects. Mad props.

Earlier this spring when I was researching these strains, I came across a picture of someone growing one that was an absolute monster. God knows how much soil they planted it in. I tried finding it again, but to no avail. I think it might have been out on Oregon??

Next pictorial Himalayan porn assignment, 'squall.

Beg, borrow, or (don't steal) a rosin press, and show some sequential pics of the ooze streaming out of that stuff, in light that reveals the hue, etc.

I'm betting it will be a taste so fine that some become dizzy just reading about it.

It's already a fine testament.

Kumaoni is a Himalayan strain and grown outdoors in Oregon it went to similar heights even after topping

any Himalayan landrace has potential to go to these heights
