Ok here it is more accurately.
For the concentrate used at 70ml per 5 gallons the numbers come out to:
134 ppm N
66 ppm P
268 ppm K
122.5 ppm CA
57.2 ppm Mg
So the ratio comes out as close to 1-2-4 as I can get it. 1Mg-2Ca-4K.
57 Mg to 122 Ca to 268 K.
Keep in mind my P will go up slightly because I use phosphoric acid as a PH down.
If you want the calculations I can do that. It will just be a long set of numbers in a long post.

This is enough. I can wing it! I see alot of higher ec's with led. I am trying canna this round its doing better than the last few tries in coco but I added a mars fce4800 so probably ought to bump it up a bit as I am in the low range for their chart, its still early.
I could not get the ratios right with out spiking the nitrogen. I needed more potassium so I added more Jack's then that threw off the calcium. So I added more calcium nitrate which added more nitrogen. Pretty soon I had good K and Ca but stunted growth with the leaves clawing from to much nitrogen.
So I recalculated using the 4-18-38 and adding magnesium sulfate. And that is how I got this mix. Never could get it even close with the Jack's. Always way to much N.
And the PH on that nutrient solution mix is 6.0-6.2 in coco coir. That is the ideal range but it can go up or down 0.2.
If you look at the numbers they are 1-2-4 for the P-N-K. Same as the Mg-Ca-K.. seems I remember someone saying the NPK ratio that was best for weed was 2-1-4 which is NPK. So the ratio I mixed is pretty close to those numbers.
Does the MB stay pretty constant ph wise or do you find yourself adjusting alot? Canna has me dropping it back down daily. That looks like the main issue I would have sticking with canna as I am gone for a week or more here and there and its not gonna work for that.
Anyways it was a while ago and I can't remember all the reason I did this mix. But safe to say I wanted more Ca, Mg, K and less N. But at the 1-2-4 ratio.

Can't say because I mix and then feed. And it shouldn't be a issue if you are using RO water. Since the numbers are in the correct amounts. But if you are feeding to strong it could be. So water with some run off will take care of that.
The mix I use is about $0.03 per gallon of nutrient solution. So a little waste is not going to break the bank. It cost me $1.80 to feed threw a 70 flower period with a plant that is about 14 ounces finished bud weight.
But post up if you find out if the PH shifts.
So if I waste 25% more nutrient solution per feed that is like $0.50 per 14 ounces. Or $0.15 per ounce wasted.

Unc, Ive been waiting for a package too. Today I checked the tracking number and it says it was delivered to my mailbox Jan 15th. The only thing I got that day was a fake Louis Vuitton handbag that I didn't order. I figured it was one of those bullshit packages everybody was getting. but no, instead of sending me a mini washer for bubble hash they sent knock off purse. It was bought on eBay and shipped from China, so if it's a scam eBay will refund me, if it was an accident then I'll have to wait another couple months for another shipment.

Something else I should post here is that sometimes the 4-18-38 is not fully mixed in the bag. Waxitaxi pointed this out to me. He called a company and asked what was going on. They told him the mix was for a full bag. They didn't homogenize the mix because their customers mix a full bag at a time.
I ran into this problem as well. Turns out all the micros were at the bottom of the bag and not mixed consistently thru the bag.
I don't think you will have a problem with the Master Blend. It was Growpower or some other brand. So keep that in mind if you are buying large bags and mixing small amounts. Better to do a concentrate and mix from the concentrate..

is it worth the frustration to save a little? one of the grow shop guys got a chinese bubble washer and it immediately broke and sorry charlie,no refund....i waited for a long time for growers house to restock and finally ordered from hydro builder but now i have their fucking ads following me everywhere online...but the bubble magic machine works well and saves a shitload of stirring and uses less ice....and my damn freezer is full again with trim....
Exactly why I bought mine at the local store. A 7 gallon portable washing machine was $230 at the time. Works great.
