Damn whiteflies got into my veg room. I found the culprit plants outside. I killed those plants off. What are you guys using for these buggers?. It's not bad but I can find some here and there. I use sticky traps. I'd like to get something organic. I've been told soap/water will kill them off. I'll give this a try 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap to 1 gallon of water and mix well. I don't want to use anything systemic.

, as opposed to non-sandy sand …it’s an oxymoron

it's like inuits and snow, there's different kinds of sand out here, they have varying properties....that sand in the pic has zero ability to withstand compaction and feels like flour,go out west a bit here to the volcano fields and it's a totally different texture...coarse,and more like 30 grit sandpaper, other spots the sand is like sugar....

organocide....and the new stuff from mammoth p works well for bugs,i haven't had whiteflies for a spell so never tried the mammoth p on them...

in the past what i've done is use dr. doom as an instant kill product to knock the numbers down, then used organics to finish them off...in veg of course

Joking aside now...

I need to build a new hydroponic tray.
When I say build, I mean DIY. This will be the 3rd of the DIY kids sleds being used as a hydroponic tray. I wish I had some vacuum molding equipment so I could put in a recessed spot for the fittings, so there is only one small area that will hold a small amount of water instead of the whole bottom of the sled/tray. (odd thought... maybe one day I'll start making flood and drain trays for more then myself)

...if only there were already dozens of companies making those...

and how many of those fill evenly? The white 2x4 tray I have, you have to set it at a slight angle for it to drain all the way. if you set it so that it fills at an even level, it doesn't drain all the way. So the pots near the f&d fitting get a higher water level then any of the pots on the other end of the tray... so in other words a deep end and a shallow end.

My entire veg room. All Sour d s1 cuttings.

They received a "medicated shower" last night to wash away some bugs. They are all soft stemmed like the their mom was, so it was like they got all ruffed up and they are slowly to stand back up all the way.

There are a couple of them that are the main stem of the plant. I took cuttings from the main stem and they rooted out. I don't recall ever getting a cutting from the main stems to root.

Beauveria Bassiana is a good option for whiteflies.

the fungus acts as a parasite to some insects with whiteflies being one of them. smaller quantities can be found on ebay but they are repackaged by the seller.
