You guys do some pretty wild stuff. Im just an old dirt farmer.

Im planning on trying a repeat of last years early outdoor run. Im going to veg up about 50 clones, and put them out in March to bud. son is going to do the same. They finish in May.
My full season plants next year will be fewer and larger. Id rather not go over a dozen during the summer/fall. No one expects weed to be growing in winter, but it will.

That looks much better Icky

I had to make my own 18 inch extension cords. Went to the box store to get a few plug ends and they had a 40 foot 16 gauge extension cord for $7.99. I thought hell I cant even get the wire for that cost. I bought 15 feet of 18 gauge for the same price as the 40 foot cord yesterday.

When it rains, it pours males

When it rains, it pours males

My last (Snowman S1 x Bio Diesel) x MAC looks like it a male. That was a complete skunking. I thought it might be male because it grew taller than the other clones, just like the Fire OG/GSC x MAC males that showed earlier.

The pheno #2 of (Fire OG x GSC) x MAC is a female, to my eye anyway. The other one also is likely a female but isn't as clear yet.

My older son just checked in. He is safe, and in Oregon. I told him to bring my press back home and start pressing rosin. I said he can have half of what he presses.

And how many watts are those all pulling??? Just asking, but 18 gauge might be to small. You might of needed to go with something larger like 14, or 12 depending on what you're actually pulling.

Longer cords on those ballasts (/drivers) would have helped some, you think?

That’s great news Dr P!

Ona, that sucks.....maybe the next pack of beans you pop will treat you to mostly females. One reason I think feminized seeds are so popular.

Morning folks.....

Well speak of the devil. Had one of the lights go out tonight. I dont know what caused it. Maybe it was Joe. I will look at it tomorrow and see if I can see what caused it.

In the picture it is the second light from the left. It has a angled driver on it. It was a cheaper driver I was testing to see how it worked. Might not work good at all. lol

Damnit you caught me. I was hoping it would take ya a few days to figure it out but nope, your on top of your game. Next time it won't be so easy to point a finger at me.

What happened to that floor in the back? looks like some one took a piss on your floor...

Smoking Joe was there. No really it was just over flow from watering.

They all are pulling less than 6 amps combined. The 18 gauge is the wire from the plug to the driver and has about 1.6 amps on the highest light. And that light is drawing 258 watts.

The 16 gauge is the wire running between each driver and connecting them together.

I will make the cords longer when my connectors come in. The driver has a short cord to start with. I will be connecting them with a water proof connector and making the cords slightly longer. The connector will look like the connector at the top of the light. I have a bunch of 2 wire connectors and I need 3 for the cords. I dont want to have to tie a bunch of cords up when I hang the lights.

When I say driver that is what you are calling a ballast.

mornin campers...

yeah,no offense to your lights icky, but i'm gonna go with the gavita leds when i can afford them for a couple of reasons...one,if it breaks or fails to work then gavita will replace it,and it will be quick...and it works with their controller...

gotta figure out to do today...there may be trimming left to do from the last round...i could certainly use the money...even a quick 1/2 lb would be good...but i would rather go for a ride...

pretty chilly this morning...it will still get up to the 60's by this afternoon...

No offence taken. I wasnt trying to sell you one. I was asked how I light that wall so I posted.

Found out why the light failed. Burned a strip up. Which is why I put that driver on it anyway. I needed to find out what it will take power wise. Now I know.

Crap. I am changing the valve for my hot water to my sink. I am soaked because everything is wet under there and I dont fit where I use to. Just not as flexible as I was 25 years ago when I put it in.

Every since I put in the new water heater the hot valves have been going out. I think it is because my wife wants the water about 3.2575 degrees hotter than hell.

:smokeit:not moving too quick this morning...

i'm definitely interested in the tech so i'm glad to see a company like gavita offer the lights since you can be reasonably assured they did solid testing so whatever performance specs they give are real numbers rather than the usual anecdotal bro science claims most of the led outfits give...

and i really like the gavita light controller thingy:)

Haha WTF. I get it all dry under the sink. Took all the clean dry rags we had to do it. Then I reach in to start reattaching things and knock the sink trap loose and flood it again. And if that is not enough I hit myself in the nose with the extension cord for the fan I set up. OWW!

Well I have a small break now to let it dry up again.

Thanks for the pics of the wall lights Ichy..
Kinda what I had figured.. I like the rack you built for the T5 fixtures..
I assume you have 4 tubes in each fixture?

Still, I would use 16 gauge minimum extension cords to plug in each of those lights...
You can buy 6 footers in 16 gauge for cheap at wally or home despot.
