mornin campers...managed to oversleep this morning,gonna be late for another day of playing pot...
i'm thinking seriously about getting two of the new gavita leds for the summer...pretty expensive initially,but i only need to grow a pound to pay for them essentially...and shutting down the main room for 2-3 months during the summer would pretty much put the lid on bug problems...and would give me plenty of time each year for a deep cleaning in there....and time to fix all the stuff i don't like about that room...
best get moving...should be a short day,only 12 plants to break down...need the money....

Make some with a mix of 3/4k leds lights. This is what I would like to test.
I looked at that but decided for redundancy. So if 1 driver goes out the other 3 are still working. I have only had 2 drivers go out out of about 70. But Still I like the safety of having more drivers.
That just makes it 3500K. Some where online someone did a test and that was the conclusion for mixing 3K and 4K.
I mix my CMH in flower. All fixtures have 930/942 bulbs. I like the results better in flower than using all 3100.

I have a brand new double bulb Nanolux CMH 1000w that I’m looking forward to using. My garden has needed a boost to bring it to the next level and I think this extra lamp may do it.

Not sure how many drivers your using for 1200 watts but I think I only paid 160 each for the 1200's and I do have an extra for a back up. Electronics are known to fail.
My thinking is by the time I spend 120 each on smaller drivers so that if 1 fails I'm still running I could just buy a back up driver and spend my savings on beer

I paid $205 for 5 drivers. The price went up a few dollars since then though.
The other benefit is I can break mine into 5 separate lights as well. Which I did just tonight.
I like the idea of 1 driver but for me it is better to have many different drivers. That is one of the reasons I didnt get HLG lights to start with. The boards are to wide for me to get the set up I wanted. Not saying they are bad just that they didnt work for what I wanted.
This dude thought it would be cool to chill out on one of my clones.....I didn't but cannot complain either.....beats aphids or mites for a visitor. No vacancy here though buddy.
What is that? I have been battling crickets in my grow. Damn things are every where haha. I have been stepping on them. Killed 2 today and have been killing 3-5 every day for a couple weeks.
I will have to google pictures but think it must have been be some kind of stink bug. One reason I may think that is instead of re-homing creatures like I usually do squished it since I didn’t know what it was. Damn fingers smelled until I washed hands 3-4 times.

Damn, what drivers did ya find that cheap? Well I guess in your case you have a point. you like trying different things so being able to change things up is a plus. I just light up a room and fill it with plants.
I had a couple green stink bugs get the idea 1 of my pots was the red light district for some damn reason. Gave em a dose of 91% alcohol and when they quit kicking I set em on fire lol
I bought 54 drivers at one time. Just after I bought them Jameco raised the price about $5 dollars each. Now they are tacking on a import tariff fee as well.
And I bought every driver they had in the type I wanted. So that is why I bought 54.
Well speak of the devil. Had one of the lights go out tonight. I dont know what caused it. Maybe it was Joe. I will look at it tomorrow and see if I can see what caused it.
In the picture it is the second light from the left. It has a angled driver on it. It was a cheaper driver I was testing to see how it worked. Might not work good at all. lol
