Nice winter day here, 30+ inches of snow fell last night. Finally got the drive hogged out. Tractor didn't like that wet wall of white.

Dog however had a ball.

Its been a rough day.
I started it out meeting with Environmental officers, EPA will soon be in touch with me and begin a criminal investigation against my company, and have said the DOJ will likely be brought in. The company has been playing around with me for 6 years since I whistle blew. Ive done it internally 4 times and been demoted repeatedly, with no write ups or poor performance, They are now in a lot of trouble.

Then I got home, and a cat got in my yard and went after the squirrel. My pitt got the cat and killed it in seconds. Made me sad,

Anyway, here is a song for Dan.

They are feral cats, and chase the squirrels up the tree, and sometimes kill the doves in my yard. That's probably my fault too..... :D

I had a feral cat get into my coop about a month ago. I think it climbed a tree and dropped in the run because when I got there it could not get out.

I sprayed its ass with the hose for a bit then my son caught it and put it in a pet carrier. I left him on the lawn over night when it got down to 35. I am sure it did not enjoy the whole experience at all. At least I hope it was enough to keep his dumb ass away from my chickens.

Feral cats are bad for wild life.

i like cats in general, but there's one that lives around here that kills birds in my yard, and that pisses me off a bit since i went to the trouble of planting stuff in the yard to bring them in...and the darn cat has knocked over a few cactus and broken the pots chasing critters in the yard...

gotta get moving here, theres a cyclocross race right up behind the house where the goats used to be....should be interesting watching people on cross bikes deal with the sand...cyclocross is like steeplechase on road bikes, the courses are on natural surfaces,i.e. not paved, and generally have obstacles you have to get off the bike and run and jump over all on drop bar road bikes so lots of carnage...should be fun to watch anyway...

when I was 18 I had this landlord that was a hunter.Long story short. This guy was murdering feral cats 24/7.The 1st time 2x4 next to the dumpster.
Another was an arrow from a second floor window.I caught this dude with a 22 rifle in a box wrapped in xmas paper with a red bow on it. He was like a hit man.
One time he was up in maine and unbenounced to me he had set up a beaver trap on the side of my apartment. My Girlfriend heard something so I went out to see what was going on.It was snowing and I still cant get the image out of my head.

Dude was a straight up bonafide cat killer.

I personally just pet them.....Believe me I asked him a lot of questions about his lack of empathy.

Would it make a difference if it was a family pet.. I'm sure he will do it again if he gets a hold of another cat. Your dog is not a wild animal. I have a big soft spot for animals. Its never a pets fault for there bad behavior. I had a cat many years ago. She was poisoned or ate something poisoned. This same cat found a Hamster outside and brang it to me alive.

By tomorrow I should be able to set up another tent and give these some room....day 1 of 12/12. The 3 females will get their own tent...and once the males start throwing pollen they will be put in there with the gals to do their job, pulled and composted. Nice and healthy going into flower. Not topped to see natural growth expressions.

I am a hunter. What you described is a sick individual, not a hunter.

Anyone I hunt with including myself would have a long productive talk with that guy. I guarantee he would never do that shit again.

Its not the dogs fault. You are responsible for that cats death.

 silly
Natural instinct. My pooches are the sweetest gals....but they do tend to protect protect their “property”. Once a squirrel, rabbit, deer, possum, cat or anything they are not familiar with encroaches into our yard....and my girls know it, the intruders better hightail it. Just nature I believe.

Last cat I owned (before the dogs) was viscous.....a mouse, chipmunk, and sometimes a squirrel would show up on the porch. Didn’t eat them, think it was just bred into her to hunt. Still considered her a good pet.

Please do not confuse an experience I had as an 18 year old as me condoning or agreeing with his action.
I was purely sharing a life experience.I understand why you may be perplexed over my story. For me it feels like a lifetime ago.

It may make you feel better thinking you could talk a guy like that out of something like that or threaten him out of it.He was truely stone cold...not posturing.

He viewed them as an infestation as his father before him. That's what he said when I asked him about it.He did not seem to differentiate between killing a deer or a pet.

I figured If I lived there long enough he may end up shooting me over something or other. His girlfriend was pretty hot.:)

I currently have about 17 coywolves that have moved back onto my property and they are protected while they are here.

This was a summer shot of them.
