Hey guys, thanks for the kudos and the sympathy about the camera. i knew i could count on all y'all.

Big time off for me this Thanksgiving. Things are slow here and We were already going to work just Mon and Tue next week, but Friday(yesterday) the boss man said i get the whole week off. Turned in my one last vacation day and I get the holiday pay. So a short check, but still a check for sitting on my ass next week. That's 9 days of no work. Just all the bullshit I've been slacking on at home.

And time to catch up on my ICMag friends's threads, specially since I don't have to take all that time taking and editing and uploading pics.

Sucks bigtime Jack; looking at this cam with just a broken switch. Maybe i should take it apart and try to get those little springs back in place. Yeah right.

Tonotiah- I'll have to toss up an old pic every now and then to keep things from looking too drab. I been using the wife's cam all this time, so I guess it's her loss, but I think I used it lot more than her.
Got to get something that takes good macros.

This is a good thing in the long run, because it will force me to make a cam upgrade that I sorely needed. My dry bud shots look flat and 2 dimensional.

The smell of Diesel. Well chubby, this is a Strawberry Diesel x NYCD that I got from annaC. It's Rez's StrD that Buck crossed to his NYCD dad.
The NYCD that I have is an f2 als from annaC. He same dad for this. The one I kept is unbelievably sour. Strong lemon lime smell. Open a jar and it'll stink up the whole house right now.
Of the StrD x NYCD i have 5 females. the most dense and indica leaning is very diesel smelling Actually has a fuelly smell. Alas, though the only one i did not clone.
The others I'm evaluating for a keeper:
1. looks like a small yielder, real stretchy, but really nice smelling. Not sour, maybe a hint a strawberry.
2. Nice looking buds, not too stretchy, not very much smell though. decent yielder methinks.
3. Awesome looking big buds. A bit airy and foxtaily, but the best smelling of them all. I just opened up the closet during lights out to smell it. Damn. I love this one. It's sour, like the nycd but just a little, and then there's a sweet smell, that i could describe as strawberry. Very strong, very nice. The scent is still on my nose.
4. Low yielding, very strong fuel smell, greasy looking buds.

Howdy B/R. that DG x OB1 cross looks like has dense buds, but now that it's dry, they're a little airy. Not bad though. Loaded up a bowl of barely dry of it last night. OMG. Took 2 hits, turned to check out my plants, and holy smoke man.

Immediately grabbed the bowl for more.

Very stony. I hope I have more seeds.

Hey there hazy...I have been busy getting this new data entry job figured out,and that plant is no where near pretty for me.She is the deep chunk x blueberry cross from a good friend,and Tom Hill is the originator of this strain if memory serves me well,and it does,I sell memory for a living.

My first hydro grow was from Tom Hill clones sent to me overnight express,without me ever asking him for any of his stock...how he got my addy and info is to this day a mystery to me.He followed our thread on OG,and just when I was ready to do my first run,the clones and seed packs of all his strains just arrived at my door.It was manna from heaven to me.

If I had known then what I know now about this man,I would have never gifted out the beans he sent me,because the potency of his stuff is second to none in my book.I may have sent him a pm or something asking about his strains,but I know I never asked him to send me a clone.

On overgrow he followed my grow,and followed it to the end.I had some spotting of leaves with a hydro plant with no ph meter,just bottle directions and good water to go by,but four foot plants in three gallons of water sucked some nutes and water in flower even in a 65 degree insulated room with full ventilation.

So I just muddled thru it,and had no real clue as to what was going on as far as the plant goes,I just knew it was green,and smelled really good.Up until 2 years ago,I focused on growing,and did really well with what I learned.

The one thing about hydro is...really small amounts...1/4 bottle strength is usually fine for pot,pure RO water,small nute doses,and yer good to go.You already do that in coco.Ready to move up to hydro?

I grow a little differently than most growers...I load them up with an almost lethal dose of nutes,to the point of leaf curl,and then start to flush when they get this big.Then just relax and take in the scenery from there,and the roots just get white as cotton.Then the smoke burns pure.The plant metabolizes all that is stored in the roots,and just before it finishes off,the roots smell like cucumbers.

If everything works out well,then you get this.





and the guy from overgrow that just came to meet you with clones of his stock,he smokes two hits of the Tom Hill strain that you just grew out,and goes one mile in his cadillac and gets lost...you know you have a good strain...ahhh,the old days.

Sorry for rambling,I'm jealous of your time off,I have to work all holidays...dam It! But holidays are $25 an hour....

Hey Tyler, you must have made that last post while i was writing mine. Those StrD crosses were from annaC. No, they won't be available again.
I'm smoking some just dry from the #1 plant I described above. Pretty good pot, but not what I'm looking for. It was doomed anyway just because of crappy yield. I guess I'll know by next week which one I'll be keeping.
Then I'll do a side by side test of each of my diesels, the Sour Diesel IBL, the NYCD, and the StrawberryNYCD. Which ever one wins I'll keep and I'll get rid of the others. Just too many moms.

Cut a little Sugar shack last night. Sure looks good.

Yeah, I've been bad lately about not keeping up Khaleel. I'll be going over to check your new thread tonight.

Right on outame, great story. That's weird about the way you got your TH stuff. I think I'm going to stay with coco until I've got it all figured out. Thinking about automating with drippers though.

So far, I've tried two of my StrD x NYCD. A third one is hanging. I've noticed a lot of seeds scattered through them. Spotted a few nanners. I've seen nanners on four of the five. None of these are going to be kept. I might flower out a couple of the clones of the best 2 plants, but maybe I'll just trash them all without flowering any more of them. I think the last two are going to be better in the buzz department, they are stronger smelling.

I'm smoking some GAK right now. This plant is at 42 days. The top buds are looking pretty good so i snipped a couple off. The bud i smoked this morning was taken at 40 days. Hey chubbynugs, i read an old pm from you that said you had two cuts of this G13-Afghani-Kush, one that went 45 days and one that went 55+. You were right, I think I got the 45 day cut.
If I could only keep one strain in my garden, this would be it.
This stuff seriously stones you. Expectations were high, and after the first 2-3 hits was scratching my head. Hmmm. Went outside to finish the bowl, and it started hitting me. Seems to be a bit of a creeper. Makes you want to find a good movie to watch. Right now it's making me want to go lay down.

outame - yeah bud, we had a little rain a couple days ago, and our mornings have been foggy. No snow.
They got it up in the White Mountains and up at Flagstaff, but I've only seen snow here that stuck for a bit once in my life. That was about 3 years ago.
Once it snowed back in the late 80s, but evapped about eye level. Sometimes though, it will snow on the desert mountains and white cap them for a day.
Anyway, it's a nice change to get a little rain once in a while.
sometimes, folks say that they wish it would rain because "we need the moisture." HA! i say say it's a fucking desert and we don't need a drop more than our 8" a year. I actually love the rain, I just hate the mud.

Bout that shack. If I could only keep one strain, it just might be the Shack. You know, I do detect some of that zebra fruit stripe gum smell in that pheno that I'm keeping. Most excellent buzz. I took them at about 56 days. I have more going. These are huge compared to the last ones, and have no deficiencies. Should be much better and bigger buds this time.

I cant imagine living somewhere like that, the last pic reminds me of images I see when they show shots from the mid east. and absolutely no offence bro either, I am more of the Boreal forest kind of guy, I like tree sap on my hands, and a coupel mosquito bites would make me feel at home.

When it gets wet around here it gets wet, I am surrounded by the Great Lakes and we can easily get 8 inches of rain in a couple weeks. A few years ago we got 2 feet of snow in four hours

Dude glad you gots to smoke on some gakkers. Yeah i was sure you got that faster finisher. How is the aroma on the exhale? Flowery? She for sure is a creeper weed. Tends to take a sec to kick in but it lays into you in a nice lethargic kind of way. Great night time smoke or lazy daytime smoke. Glad you likes her man. Hope she didnt let you down.

Hi hazy,thought I would pop in and say high.Sand storm huh?Been in a couple of those,and a firestorm in the Texas panhandle when I lived there.Sandstorm peeled the paint off my old beater chevy truck,and the firestorm was more freaky and scary than dangerous.

The soil in the panhandle of texas has what they call caliche in it.Caliche is pretty much calcium carbonate,which is an ingredient in cement.Bet you got plenty of it in yer soil to.I know what you mean about mud.The wife and I got new jobs about a month ago,and one day while I was training we had an unexpected one day heat wave,which with my outside air intake with no thermal limiter,in combination with the 700 watts blazing above the deep chunk x blueberry,instant case of root rot.Dam.No cut for you or me.Sorry I am,but I have beans.

On a lighter note...I didn't mark this one...cindy or ?I know you can't tell,hps pic ya know.Been getting a lot of calls from out there in your area,and your town about high speed internet...you guy's getting wired up out there?

That dust storm was from 2007. Every year it's pretty normal to get blasted at least weekly during the monsoons in July and Aug. We get them from spring to fall.

It's a lot like the mideast Dr. Dog. When I showed the guys at work the video of my boy knocking in doors in Iraq, they all said it looked like the town down the road.
I used to love the forest, but the last time I went camping in the woods, it was a little creepy.

Hey Ty, I'm still thinking about keeping a StrD. The number 4 pheno chopped at 60 days, and is the bomb. Yield sucked, but something had nanners and knocked it up early, so it might yield better next time if i can get rid of my herms. I never saw nanners on this one. Of course they could have been there.

There was no let down with the GAK chubby. It's got a beautiful smell that I can't describe. kind of soft.? This is the best tasting weed I've ever smoked. Cept for maybe sweet tooth. The last hit in the bowl still tastes good. Yeah, flowery might describe the exhale. It smells good burning.

Yup Core. Desolate. It'd be real tough to find a place to grow here. No water. Hot. Now would be a good time to have something going tempwise, but still no water. oh yeah, once i was stuck (not stuck, just having to wait it out)out in a field in my truck during a dust storm, and it was so bad, i could not see a big front end loader that was parked about 10 feet from me.
You wouldn't believe how many folks from The Northern US and Canada are here right now. Doubles our traffic. We call them snowbirds. I say the only good thing about snowbirds is that they're white.

I guess you don't get dust storms over there in the extreme southwest eh cali? It's overcast today and kind of cold, 48 degrees f, a good day for bong hits. Saw a new bong in my kids room, I think i'll go try it out.

That's a real bummer on the DC BB outame. That plant in your pic is a C99. I'd recognize those long leaves mostly with 3 leaflets a mile away.
I'm smoking some Cindy now, it's been a while, and I should never be without this smoke for so long again. You'll like it a lot.

Don't know about the local internet stuff. I use a high speed wireless connection. All the phone lines are so old, there was really no way to have dsl and we got no cable out here, and satellite's too expensive.
Hope all's going good with the new job. You inspired me and I whipped up some chili beans a couple days ago. mmm, mmm, mmm.
