A friend shipped a p from CA, to VA, to a mailboxes etc style op. The reciever of the package worked there and had it shipped to an ex employee for anonymity. When UPS showed up, the driver wasn't wearing ups socks with his summer uniform, and I think fed ex uses special New Balance shoes. Anyway, he caught it when the driver was asking if so and so still worked there. Guy said no. Local and Feds took him in and questioned him for hours on end. Then they brought the guy that used to work there who's name they used in. He flipped out, had nothing to do with it, told the cops to get a life if their not charging him, and the investigation was done and the weed was lost. Pay close attention to the uniforms people, because they send Feds to impersonate shippers!

If it was nothing major, and was delivered to a big city, they'll just keep it at the worst. If there's a real name on there, then it's a different story. If it does happen to get there say "1-2wks" later with the fake name, then deny and slam the door..Walk back to your couch, kick your feet up, and enjoy the rest of your folger's mountain blend coffee:)

I've had a package (1oz) opened by a mail center at a College and when my friend went to claim it (told him it was hot) they told him to come back in 15 minutes and when he went back (retard) the cops were there. The most he's facing is simple possesion ticket, no biggie.

I'm interested in the debate between private carriers and USPS. I've always used FedEx overnight West Coast - East Coast without a problem. Almost positive the package doesn't go through Memphis so that would mean it's not getting heavily scruitinized at that hub that someone says is apparently sketchy due to dogs, ect.

I've heard FedEx/UPS don't need warrants to open since they are private, but does anyone have documentation to support the arguement that USPS does not focus on parcel intradiction as much as private companies? I know USPS branches are actually privately owned but there is just it just doesn't feel right using a postal service even remotely related to the US Government.

if you paid in cash there is no proof that he sent the package to himself. just like the other guy said, tell him to say he wasnt expecting a package and he cant say anything else without his lawyer.. if a credit card was used he might be in some trouble

There is one thing that's a possibility even if paying in cash and that's that the fed ex outlet had a security camera so hopefully the person it's addressed to does not show up on that or that police take it any further if they are not one in the same.

fedex ??

fedex ??

I worked for over a year @ a Fedex ground hub and there was never any drug dogs ever in the buildings/hub or trailer holding area, or drug related issues that came up (except maybe us puffin in the parking lot!!), I`ve shipped many "questionable items" by fedex and the usps and have never had any problems on either end, and I know from experience, a lot of how things end up being scrutinized is how the person packaged the item/s,, wimpy boxes, poor taping,,, these lead to open boxes/packages due to how things are handled(we used to literally throw boxes in trailers)...I`ve used extra heavy-duty tape and sturdy boxes inside of boxes all extra taped up with a lot of packing/filler and everything got through every time....now I never shipped out 32 lbs of smoke either:yoinks:(what a dumbass!):yoinks:.........just my 2 centavos worth!!..........G.:joint:

Dunno if you worked at a major hub or one of the smaller hubs, but i'm willing to bet the major hubs might have dogs from time to time, if not all the time. Fir instance, a smaller fedex hub in arkansas has to go through the memphis hub.. and the memphis hub is pretty serious from what i've read... i have no clue though.

use u.s. postal service next time.

LOL people just dont get this do they

let me explain if the usps gets a "suspicious package" they call and say hi what is in this package is it dangerous can we open it and you respond no its xyz and you cant open it they say ok thankyou well ship it!!! if they want a warrant they can get one but for fed ex and ups you already signed something that said they could open that shit up. also you have an advantage in the volume of the usps. look at the usps busts vs fed ex in the last year 90% of the busts are child porn a few for heroin and a few for coke just dont say there is any form of media in the package which makes it legal to search but ive never done this so dont trust me i have no idea what im talking about

Just act normal as if nothing has happened don't think about it, if the cops ask say what the fuck are you talking about, I don't know about any package and if they say they have evidence just ask if you're under arrest if they say no tell them to have a good day if yes just ask for a lawyer.

Eh. It was an ounce. Don't stress yourself out too much.

While it's a federal offense, I just don't think they'll spend the time and money coming after someone over an ounce. Chances are they'll dispose of it and call it a day.

Though it never hurts to get legal advice, just in case...

They never call you and ask whats in the package and if they can open it. Stop kidding yourself.

FedEx has a daily volume of 3.4 million packages, so the volume is there for private carriers.

all you anyone has to do is be very picky with the packaging and double or even triple box thats the key to shipping... ive sent million dollar priced silicon items to china and they would get their fine 99.9% of the time... trust me its all inthe packaging!!

definetly do nothing and dont sign or go to pick it up should they contact. i would doubt they would go through the trouble of viewing the security video for an ounce.

just to add to this, fedex does suck. my buddy lost an ounce to them. dhl, usps were way better, but i dont ever send shit through the mail. if my friends out east want west coast bud they can come here. its not worth the money or stress.
