has anyone ever tried using an ONA Odor Stop as their exhaust fan and odor eliminator? i think the gel is more than enough to neutralize any odors coming from flowering plants while the fan can serve to fan cool the light. it's rated at 225cfm and says it can treat a 10,000sqft area for 3-4 weeks with one gel bottle

i am going to try this as a single-piece fan and odor eliminator, no carbon scrubber or filter. i use their small block when i smoke, and you can't tell i'm smoking except for the actual smoke in the room. there is no odor with this stuff, and it is just essential oils.

It will sort of work. I used to have a bucket drilled with a few holes on the upper half and half filled with Ona gel. The blower 250CFM squirrel cage, would shoot everything out of the 6" vent, into the bucket. The problem was the gel dried out super fast and became infective after a while.

Get a carbon scrubber. Make one yourself.

ONA is not a masker, it is a neutralizer. Well maybe it masks some because of the smell it has. But is not like those plug ins that you buy at a market.
Like you said it does not work as well as carbon. Also some people do not have the means to have extraction fans and such, so every little bit helps and ONA f-ing works for small grows.

I have an Ona Breeze unit and it works well. Get the Polar Crystal fragrance, the Fresh Linen is nauseating. It does dry out fast but you can get the concentrate and add a little every time it starts to look dry and that makes it last much longer.

put one together in twenty min after about a 1/2 hr my whole house smelled like fresh laundry...this is a great low cost solution for small grows.
