Hey again friends.
Its a sad update this time around. The crop that seemed so perfect last week, has now been reduced to a moldy crop. I went away for 4 days, and when i returned, 50% of the buds was suffering bad from mold. It has been very humid for the last week, and caterpillar shit has probably also played a role in the mold attack. The biggest and densest cola on my green pheno was almost totally ruined, and alot of the other buds were too. Only plant that was mold free was the affie pheno, because its still far from finish and not dense at all.
Well i chopped and felt really sad about my dry sift plans being reduced to nothing...when it hit me..it might still be saved by iso alcohol. So i chopped and snipped all the buds in small nugs, and spread it out on newspapers in a hot ventilated room. I wanna dry this real fast, and ill just have to oil it up instead of the dry sift i had planned. Im guessin ill be left with about an elbow of dry weed, which will all be QWISO´d when its dry. I know its sad, but ill still end up with a concentrated resin product, so i really shouldnt feel that bad. I spent 8 hours manicuring the crop with my girl and lil sis...what a heavenly smell we sat in..Alot was moldy and i seperated it a little from the non moldy parts, and sat it closest to the heater to stop the mold process faster.
Any advice as to the drying process/oil process are more than welcome atm.

So heres the sad pics:

Great shots, GDK. Glad to see you were able to salvage the moldy buds. I had to harvest because of mold this weekend too. Love those colorful buds, besides the splotches of brown mixed in there.

Awesome job, I've loved what you have done with the amount of root space you have in that planter. Great job and those girls look awesome. Can't wait to see what next years season brings you. By the way. You've been added to Photo of the Month Nominations - November 2006. I just love that shot and think it looks awesome along side the house.
Take care,

Hey, nice harvest:) hope you get this message, just wondering how you got your hands on the AfghanxPurple Peace? I got sent some a couple of years back by the green ambassador. Did you make the crosses yourself?
