A/C without air contamination?

I'd like to run a sealed room in my apartment (currently exhausting out the window)

Besides a mini split do I have any options for cooling my grow-room that won't leak smell? eg portable A/C etc...

I tried running my portable AC in any and every configuration possible. I can't seem to find a pic of the grow room with it in the window...but this is what it looked like from the outside.

It worked pretty damn good actually. On the inside of the house I had the AC lifted up inbehind the window to reduce the amount of ducting needed...was pretty much straight in and straight back out.

To the right of the pic just out of frame is a 5 ton split...but when you live in Canada...in the winter...only a hoser runs a mini split.

**I was quite concerned that after setting this up it was leaking smell outside. But those pics were taken with my back against a fence...on the other side of the fence were my neighbours NL5 plants though...

I was worried about ice build up from the exhaust so I only ran the shown config. in the spring, summer, and fall.

the portable A/C that you pictured there, it pumps air from the grow room outside correct?
