99.99999 Pure dry Sift

"Why worry about it" is a very good question.

Anyway, I do prefer hash, and I usually devote 80% of my grows (which totals maybe an ounce a month) to making kief. I'm a super-light smoker, so a little bit goes a long way.

I like hash for a few odd reasons:

1. I like a hash buzz better. Maybe it's psychosomatic, but a hash buzz rarely messes with my mind or speeds things up. Hash for me isn't exactly narcotic, but it doesn't have the mind games regular weed sometimes has.

2. With hash I can titrate much better. I know exactly how much of a piece of hash I can smoke to get exactly a certain kind of effect. With weed, it's harder to judge how much you're really taking in.

3. When I was in the U.S. Army in Germany back in the early 1980s, all I smoked was hash, and I just got to the point where smoking pot was smoking hash, and I still have that in my frame of mind.

4. I just love the taste and smell of good pressed kief. I have access to good weed, good pressed kief, and I feel like I have the best of both worlds.

That about sums it up...

that is some beautiful hash.
i will be up for purchasing this machine when it is released.

i was also wondering when/if it would be possible to buy skunk#1 seeds again from "Skunkman's Cultivators Choice" Sam?

Nice thread Bubbleman!

Sam, you have posted lots on all the steps you take just before you clean the hash in your machine, has anything changed? Thanks again for what you have posted.

-Find a plant with "little or no ceiling".
-Cure for several months (I have seen Sam post 3-6mo) Sam do you leave your buds in boxes or do you jar them up?
-grind into a "crude farmers hash"
I often make dry sift with whole plants, shade leaves and all except the stems, ground up and sifted to get a crude farmers hash with all the resin from the plant. (if the manicured plant is 15% THC the crude farmers hash is about 30%+THC) Then I re-clean it up to very high standards (50%+ THC), I do this because manicuring kilos of bud to dry sift is a waste of my time. I like to spend my spare time smoking hash, not manicuring or even making hash. While I do agree it is best to avoid contaminants, the time involved to manicure may not worth the extra effort if you are working with large amounts at a time. But it may depend on the volume of work and what you want, if the only way you can get dry sift FMCD is by manicuring, then do what you have to do.
I find that a kilo of manicured buds gently wiggled/shaken on a flat screen can make resin that will bubble easy, the rougher you sift the more debris that will come through the screen and the lower the quality and higher the quantities.
But I can also just grind up the whole kilo and sift it and then clean up the resin to FMCD quality. And the later is much faster....
-refine the crude hash with screens customized in size for the clone
The best sized screens depend on the resin heads size, but you want one that is just big enough that it catches all the resin excluding anything to big to be a resin head, and one that has just bigl enough holes so that none of the resin will go through, to clean up the resin from debris that is smaller then the resin heads.
I have screens of every size holes, metal and woven cloth, even a laser drilled sheet metal screen with round holes instead of the normal square. It is easy to test and see which screen is best for a given clone or variety, then use it.
There is no best screen size or amount of screens to use it all depends on the resin size and the amount of debris in with the resin.... Also screen sizes are measured different in each country, you can get it in inches or centimeters as well as company numbers, that can measure the threads per whatever or the hole size or the ratio of screen to thread, etc, etc.
I use a #77 to get rid of the small shit and a #125 to collect the resin in the first place. That is the local silkscreen size at the shop I go to for 20 years. Even though the cloth is not silk anymore.
But that said it depends on the resin, I also use both smaller and bigger screens.
- Leave the hash the way you sift it. Don't press or roll. Store in cold dark place.

Hi Sam, I just copied a quote from a few pages back, but didnt do it right so it looked like my words, but it was from Tony Danza, I have much respect for you and your process, and all you have shared, look forward to the time the machine is out and will purchase.
I just liked and laughed at the last line/word in Tony Danzas post and didnt get the quote button thingy right,...now I copied that word as my signature...
peace

That or screens that have a mesh that is to small for the glands to pass through. I suppose you could use static other than a vacuum (I wonder about the suction messing with things).

But for dry sift, obviously the screens must be above and below what the glands you want are going to stay at............what you move it with, is the real mystery?

I say a huge clown condom (lubricant free), blown up for the static.

Nice work to most of you who tried a go at this 99.99999% dry sift, that is the inspirational attitude we need, none of this bickering about boo hoo, you know something i dont know is bogus(get on with your lives or try to figure it out on your own) Youve been given all the damn hints you could possibly need. I must say SHAME on you guys for giving someone shit for tyring to protect their own ass, you guys know bloody well how cut throat this industry is and all the "hoarding" that goes on behind the scenes(intentional or not). If someone worked hard for something and simply because someone thinks their entitled to the info that they should get it is fucking nuts, SAM do your thing shit make em drool more(if i was you Sam after seeing the responses and interrogational type of comments made to you and bubble man id make sure to DELAY the possible release of such info, obviously we arent ready or deserving of it yet)
Oh yea Bman sucks to be envied to the point of anger ? i bet you get that from time to time, its threads like this that make me kinda wonder about where this community is going

hey dude, is bubba kush S1, and its crystal droppings from trimming dry buds off stem. then i blew really hard on it to blow the chaff out.

ElAhrJi, your crystals are good too.

Truthman

I don't know what the method is and I RESPECT sam skunkman to the highest degree when it comes to cannabis and everyone needs to make a living and even if someone finds the method on this website he will still get money just based on his rep and add to the fact most people aren't going read these websites and find the info.

I think it's bouncing the herb on different micron screens because bouncing it leaves more trichome stalks in tact and leaving more resin glands on the screen which will be sifted by bouncing the resin glands until the final product is clean.

If you drag the herb on the screen too much will be forced through the holes of the screen and not leave a clean product. This is why slowly stirring the water for bubblehash leaves a cleaner product than using a lot of force because you are using the water to "bounce" the heads off their stalks but too much force and you drag the stalks down into the screen and some will break apart and mix in with the final product, even the finest screens.

I figured this out because this is how they make hash in morocco and separate rice from it's fibrous outer shell in most countries but instead of leaving the top of the hash uncovered which brings in debri and dust cover the herb and do a light bounce.

Just something I thought about last night.

Anyway BIG UPS sam. Are you working on any new project that effects the community to grow?.

I also like this shot, it looks like some of the best kif I've seen besides the skunkmans. Can you please explain your process??? Are you actually using static electricity, or did you just think that would be best? Thanks

I personally would gladly pay for a dry sift machine as it's the best hash by far,but is very time consuming and as Sam says is a low yield process if you want highest quality product. I don't have the resources to make large amounts of it but I would rather make a smaller amount of best quality than make a lot of average.
I agree that its only the law stopping this sort of hash being available to all who need it.High quality kif is the future of Cannabis smokin as long as we can all grow enough ganja unhindered to be able to refine without a care. I personally look forward to that day if I'm here to see it!
Anyhoo!Put my name on the order list Sam....and if you need product testers just lemme know..... Londinium:joint:
P.S. To any wannabee's and hater's still bugging Sam...SHOW SOME RESPECT!:mad::wallbash::nanana:

Bubbleman that hash is turely amazing.. Until Sam decides to let us know how to make it... I will just have to try and learn myself one day.. The whole 10 grams to one kilo thing is a good clue I guess.. For now this dry shift my box and my space case grinder give me will do me fine.. Thanks for sharing :joint:

After hearing what HMK does, I think the following is Sam's secret dry sifting method..here's what happened

decades ago, in West Africa, Sam was inside his hotel room with a kilo of rough, unpressed dry sifted hash sitting in a big pile on the glass coffee table ..... by accident he switched on the fan and almost all of the hash was scattered everywhere, except for a very small amount of very pure resin heads that remained on the table...so now we know!

the big question now is was it an overhead, wall mounted or free-standing fan? and on what speed was it on? questions, questions! lol

Wow, 10% for every 1000 grams; one gram, wow. I still wouldn't want to waste the rest, just separate for further refinement; solvent extraction through a nice filter, to separate the cellular material from the oil.
