No brown leaves the yellowing wouldn't bother me it looks minor, and as your well on your way to finish them soon, looking very nice as id expect. well done :good:

Thank you for the kind words and assurance!

I live in a prohibition country and may never get to try any of these elite clones, so these beans may be the closest I can get to experiencing the queen.

They are filling out nicely right now. Will post another update soon.

Chem 91 S1s, bred by Nspecta aka CSI Humboldt, day 42

Pheno #1

This is a gorgeous plant with backend gas that hits the back of my sinuses.

I've tried to capture it under different lights. Looks a lot like the mother.

And here some flash shots just for the vibes.

I've always loved the 91's impossibly pale flowers and the impossibly deep green leaves amongst them.

Pheno #2

Gotta say I've been a bit less interested in this one. Seems to have a more muted smell and the flowers are leafier than the other pheno.

A bit more impressive when I really get in to smell the resin - seems nicely rubbery - but no backend gas like the other one. At least not yet.

Thank you for the kind words, friends! Think she will come down in the next week or so (maybe around day 63?).

Very hard to judge with the constant white pistils, but the trichs are turning. I also re-listened to Lucky Dog's episode on the Pot Cast, where he says it peaks "earlier than you'd think".

More pics again soon.

The other, less smelly, pheno still isn't very gassy but producing more and more of a BO/garlic/armpit/bad breath smell. Still don't think it will smoke as well as the one I've got here in the pictures, but I think will still be very interesting.

Man I remember that and I also remember him saying something about how it will just keep going and going. Did he say day 68 was when he chopped? My big twin peaks is at like day 72 and shows no signs of stopping!!

He says that when Staten Island Guy gave it to him he told him to just take it at day 63, which made sense to him.

Timestamped link here (1:39:26).

However he doesn't actually say outright when he prefers to chop it these days.

I think I'll just go based on trichs for this first run and see what the results are like!

Would love to see pics of your Twin Peaks now, btw 🤩

Thx for the stamp bro I'm going to give it another listen. That garlic armpit bad breath pheno u talk about sounds like exactly what I'm looking for!

My big twin peaks is too big to move so I cant really get you good clear pics at the moment. Hopefully a quick hps pic will do.

It's gotten so chunky it can barely hold itself up. A 12 inch wooden stick and plant wire is keeping it from tilting too bad. All the big fan leaves are dead and gone and what's left is turning yellow. It's very foxtaily. It is at 72 days and smells like dirty socks/shoes with a hint of grape/sweetness.

Here is the 91 leaning pheno:

It is at 64 days. Beautiful round greasy looking buds. Very grape/sweet smelling with a little dirty sock in the background. Basically the opposite of the big pheno. This is the one I'm excited about the most

They look amazing!

And I'm intrigued by those smells. Maybe I should run my Twin Peaks soon too.

The smells arent super loud, they are kind of subtle. Big pheno collapsed under it's own weight yesterday, had to chop at 74 days:

Yeah for my fainter-smelling pheno I'm hoping the flavour will come through in the vape/smoke. It doesn't have the gassiness (where you can get a whiff of its fumes from metres away) of the other one but the resin smells pretty nice.

Definitely will be an interesting one, at the very least!

Just an update since I've had time to smoke my S1s from CSI that I ran. I ended up keeping the #2 and #4, but may end up keeping just the #2.

Out of all the cuts the #2 looks more OG than traditional Afghan, where the other cuts were far more leafy, less internodal spacing etc.

I ran them in coco with salts last round, but growing them in organic soil this run. I find the expressions far better in the soil, possibly due to a bit too much N in the feed schedule, though seasonal changes cant be ruled out. The soil plants are far denser and also less leafy.

Currently at day 40.

Here is the #2

The #4 is the frostiest, but not as much like the Skunk VA cut.

old sour d from NY in NY still by way of Chaco with some from Skunktek mixed in, can you spot the difference?

Hey chunkypig. When you say old sour d what are you referring to? I've been looking into this and it seems these cuts like ECSD, AJ's, Chaco, SKunktek etc are not producing the same thing as the old sour d I remember.
