Nspecta was saying a while back he didn't think they were all siblings. IIRC his theory is 91 is its own thing, and the D/Sis/4 are hybrids using the '91 with an unknown male or possibly hermed fem ala Sour Diesel. It was in one of the old cannaculture Chem threads.

ChemD ranks highly, great high and very productive but I'm still preferential to the Sister after all these years. She has an effect that is much more to my liking. Head rush high with this sharp pine note running through the ChemD-esque raunchy funk. When done right she's a worthy challenger to the Chem crown in my book.

This was the first run I had with her. Not the best pics but you can deffo see the 91 bud structure in there. Looking at pics it seems the 91 is the most dense with like no protruding stigmas. C4 is deffo good yielder with her strong, sturdy branches and dense buds.

How do the chems compare as far as density is concerned? The sis vs d vs 4 vs 91 vs 3. If the 3 looks the part but didnt get the smell, then they could really all be siblings. Right?

I can deffo see and smell some similarities between the female I kept and the chem 4, the 4 was denser tho.

The main thing I am looking for out of the c4 x n91's I made is that density.

Speaking of chem 4, I may have mixed up a c4 with a gg4.

What do you all think?
Is this her in the middle of some gg4s?

The more I look at these pics the more I realize that my cut is probably bunk, a cross or whatev. These scream OGK and ECSD, mine looks like a shorter ECSD with less of that cluster of grapes look that y'all have.

That's def not 91 or any Chem I now,
(grown 91,Chem D and the Sis)
Leaves are not dark enough. Nor wide enough.

How does it smell?
Chem is very unique, nothing else smells simular.imo

Thanks for your input. I feel this round hasn't been the greatest anyways as far as leaves and color, I have other strains doing similar. But it has a tire rubber smell mixed with an indescribable sort of mediciney , chemical, flintstone vitamins without the sweet or sour type of smell. Has an overall silhouette similar to a ECSD but shorter, but the calyxes seem finer. That could potentially also be due to the conditions that it endured because there are other strains like the white in the same room that normally also have pretty large calyxes and this go-round they are a bit smaller and tighter. It hasn't been smoked yet so jury is out on flavor.

Apothecary Genetics Seeds Chem 91 Cannabis Seeds*

*Chem 91 got created by crossing OG Kush, Skunk #1 and Massachusetts Skunk. Resulted strain has sweet'n'sour taste with earthy undertones. This variety after 10 weeks of flowering will produce very relaxing cerebral high. Due to its high medicinal properties is recommended for medical users.*

*Genetics : OG Kush x Skunk #1 x Massachusetts Skunk

Flowering Time : 70 Days

Sex : Regular*

Area : Inndoor and Outdoor

The phylos genotype mapping might actually support this theory. They are basically claiming that there is an og kush that is a parent to the chems. Its pretty much a parent to so many of the samples, it gets it own category.

I always wondered why I can taste the og in chem4, og smells like "sour" and 91 looks like a beefed up og.

Anyone have terp results from a legit 91 compared to og?

Don't mean to argue, but I disagree, OG is a unique smell and not the same as Chem or Sour, which again are unique.

Chem and Sour have the raw garlic and fuel, OG is something different and in my opinion not comparable to real world aromas.

Also the leaf shape of OG is NOT the same as Chem or Sour leaf shape, nor are the plant structures the same. Yes similar lanky growth but definitely not the same type of structures. This is not only evident in growth but also the way they stack buds.

Finally the resin profiles of Chems are different to OG.

They may be related but distant relations, not close enough for one to have spawned the other in my opinion and experience. :tiphat:

Peace

No drama over here, I appreciate your input. Disagreements force me to learn something.

Imo, the leaf shape and resin profiles are gonna change with each environment.

Even chemdog himself says they are directly related. Josh D has said something very similar. There is no doubt they are related, the question is howso.

Imo, genetic testing is way more reliable than anything else. They can tell if 2 clones are the same or not and if one begat another.

I would have to imagine that guys like Rob Clarke and Sam would have access to just about any cultvars.

Im looking for some pics of the mss. I want to see one that shows its bud structure off.

@prj Ecsd or OD has the 3 leaf pheno?

Looks like severe calcium deficiency. The 91 needs a ton of cal & mag dumped on it to keep her happy. You're kind of late in so I'd avoid any cal product with nitrates in it, Nectar has Herculean Harvest and Demeter's Destiny, neither contains N and are used throughout the flush. The leaves won't repair themselves but the plant will do a lot better.
