yeah its a great idea. i see em on og all the time. not just for clones but bubbling buckets aswell. would work well with all dwc systems i guess.
times are changing huh. im gona give soil grows away all together.
out of the cloner into a bucket all to its own. i never knew hydro was as simple as running a fish tank. would have tried it years ago if i did. :jump:

both this cloner in this thread and mine work on the same faux aero method with a mini-sprinkler....
i think bubble cloners and aerocloners are both equally good in different ways... while the "Aero" one will possibly do it fatser and more devloped in that time(going by what ive seen myself), the bubble cloner has less set up and is easier to make and less things to worry about, such as the submersible pump on an aero heating the water up which can be a problem for some...not for me though.... so that is one advantage bubblers have. the bubbler will be cheaper to make too... so thats 2plus's on the bubble....on the plus for the aero, you havemnt gotto be so diligent about keeping the water level at the correct heigt withing the tub which is something I found to be vital with bubble cloners....
so as I say, i think both are equally viable and good in their own way....

The neoprene collars come from the hydro shop. They are on Ebay too, but......

Here's what I do, get an NGW (national gardeners wholesale) catalog and tell your grow shop the exact item numbers you want. Just so you know, everything you would ever need is in that catalog (well... most everything..) They have it shipped to their place and you pay in cash..easy peasy lemon squeezy.

I usually leave the leaves alone, I read somewhere that trimming them causes the baby stress it doesnt need. I always have 99% cloning success. But my seed germination technique has started to suck of late... :badday:

hi mate, you cut the leaves to lower the amount of oisture loss...plants give out opuit from the leaves, its called trabspiration....alos, ots eaier on the cutting if it hasinbt got a load of leaf to support whislt simultaneously trying to root.
hey mate, check out my aero cloner too...im gonna bump it now for you...

I always trim the larger fans when cloning, no problem. It also helps to fit more clones in a small space.

yup its useful for that exact purpose.... Im experimenting in my cloner with a big cutting at the moment...all fans intact to see how log it takes and if I can flower it as soon as it has a good root system eliminating need for veg....

what light schedule for this experiment? 24/0, then right to 12/12? or are you doing 18/6 to 12/12..

I have tried the large clone thing twice in aero and it just so happened that everything failed due to rot, not much luck w/aero cloning lately. Did it work out HG?

Has anyone tried swapping the sprinkler for a mist maker? Same principles involved and because the mist disperses around even irregularly shaped containers, more of those collars can be fitted.

How big is the opening of the sprayer? is it a commercial grade or what did you buy???

i need to modify an aero cloner i already have but i think i need different sprayer nozzles and maybe a stronger pump?

what do you think.
