90% of people don't care about the work they do.

I've come across this realization recently. I feel like 9/10 people you come across interacting with society really don't care about the work they do. They are just there for the paycheck.

I mean all walks of life: from doctors, to lawyers.... cops, waitresses, chefs, construction people, even cannabis growers.

I don't believe these people actually go to work everyday with the mindset of not caring, it's just a side effect of society and life. However it results in bad services, bad doctors, lawyers, cops, waitresses, chefs, etc. So we are effected by them all the time.

I can't really seem to find any good in this. I would love to be wrong but my experiences in life so far have proven this is true.
When I was younger I was convinced it was just the lower class of society and/or young people that didn't care. Now I am a bit older and I realize there is no social or economic barrier, most just don't care.

I've always felt like I was at least in the top 10%.

If I didn't care about my job, my pot would be shit, I would be hungry, and I would have no money.

And that's why it's easy to come up in this country! Most people are just a waste of space. Nothing in that head besides mash potatoes.

So.......when you do find excellence, a great waitress or maybe an awsome service rep who really helped with a concern, LET THEM KNOW! And let their boss know as well. Thanks KONY, excellent thread! ~mT

time to redeem a cooler culture

i'll tell ya, once i was just a weird foreign kid in the u.s... but i kept taking my stupid ideas about better culture

http://arcosanti.org

and working and studying to see what it was, and studied memetics - how ideas are (culturally) transmitted - and all sorts of things, until i had an idea that we'd made ourselves stupid by advertising. so, i developed technologies to "recominate" (not a real word but one people like) memetics and embiggen semantic athleticism, thus improving semantic parsing.

then i had someone who kept insinuating things, and after i did some effective work, suddenly weird things started happening. everywhere i went, people harassed me, sometimes violently. i went to the other side of the planet, same thing.

you know what i found out? a couple of % of society, basically occultists and members of certain fraternal orgs, are privileged, and are here to enjoy privilege and apply undetected "hands on" management of troublesome vectors that mess up the shit that controls what you think.

you know those old friends of yours (school?) you like but don't know well, and seem to know people everywhere you go? because they all meet at their fraternal org you don't know about...

study the hand signals used by the stasi when tracking people, then notice next time you're in public, if the folks standing by the doorways/avenues of traffic seem to occasionally speak a little too loud, or touch the top of their heads, or brush the tip of thier noses in a less than natural manner.

of course, before doing that, you're welcome to say "hey that WG guy is insane" i don't care. some of you are going to know, and be more informed.

for sure bro :p you gotta do the legwork yourself, but i'll give you pointers. the only place you hear about m*$ons in society is (1) "crazy people" and (2) comedians (and subsequently people who watch comedians) making fun of "crazy people". think about that for a while.

and a helper -

"we will lead every revolution against us" - zionist theodor herzl

in regards to the concept of "false advocacy/advocates" - you know, the people you can see who allege to champion causes, but nothing ever seems to change?

it's been a long time since i read it, pretty sure the art of war stresses deception as the most effective weapon.

It's a sad commentary on our society...

It's a sad commentary on our society...

When I grew up doing something was what it was all about, or doing something well...

I always worked as a professional, my word was my bond and my work showed off my professionalism.

Now people (companies) are more interested in statistics, numbers. What I have found is that numbers do not translate into customer satisfaction. The younger generation is guided by false goals and rewarded for the wrong reasons.

Most of this is due to "Incorporating America", companies buying companies only to worry about the bottom line to satisfy shareholders.

It seems the only way to maintain quality is to start your own business, and then don't sell it out.

Peace

I think the problem arises because of the money- you might , for example be the worlds best nurse.... But because parents are well heeled, and nurses wages are shit you let yourself be pushed into being ,say a banker because of the money and end up being a shit banker and causing financial meltdown (!) when if £ had not been a consideration you would have been the best fuckin nurse the world has ever seen and enjoyed your job. Instead we lose an excellent nurse and gain a shit banker.
If things were a lil different we could have a world of geniuses in their fields.

I have been a carpenter for almost 40 yrs. I am always broke, am self employed, and I still have all my fingers. I still like my work...most everything about it.
(And if anyone needs a happy carpenter in Prescott Az. PM me!) It's been slow since the great recession. Peace

I take a lot of pride in the work I do regardless of what it is. My career especially, but also my hobbies (like growing, cooking, etc). I've always been a workaholic though, got that from my dad. I truly believe I have one of the best careers you could ever hope to have (PUD land sales for a real estate developer) where no two days are the same, and I work for one of the best companies in that particular industry that I could ever hope to be aligned with -- I'm extremely lucky in that regard. Not everybody finds something they're passionate about that they can also make a good living in, and I've had my share of shitty jobs, so I totally understand the mentality of just going to work, getting it done, and going home.

Not to sound like a pessimist but most of society is worthless. There is still a very small percentage of honest, hard working, quality driven people out there but the world is quickly being swallowed up by morally bankrupt, poor people loving, overly politically correct, cheap chinese crap buying commie trash

The only real hope is the people that aren't gay, stupid, weak, autistic or communist need to have kids and raise them right if not the future looks bleak.

i started to be like "no shit" (which i guess i did anyway) but yeah it's true, i don't think it's as high as 90, or maybe it's higher. but people are "forced" into doing jobs they hate because the world we live in is fueled by money.

if you can't do what you really love, tap dancing or some shit for instance, because it don't pay bills, so instead you gotta be the manager at mcdonalds because you need to eat and live in overpriced homes. banks man. they're the ones running the show. just follow the money. everything requires money, banks make (print) the money, they must be the man behind the curtain no?

white americans in nogales, mexico, just over the border.. "this fat ugly guy just started dancing around on the street when we were near like we were going to give him money"

the world beyond control... still invisible, even if they see it.....
