Subb'd! quick thought: did you take the lenses off of your recess LED lights? I've been reading some threads recently about how much light those plastic lenses on the leds actually block, compared with a light meter at different heights.

Showed this thread to a friend who bought some similar lights just because they were on sale, and he didn't know what he wanted to do with them. He's a non-smoker, but might grow some culinary herbs with them now

Yep, the lenses are removed. I've seen the blynx thread, in fact that's how I found these.

A little over five weeks from seed and the stretch is pretty much over. The buds are now starting to thicken up a bit.


Side view shows the buds are a good couple of inches tall (the holes in the screen are two inches).


Top down view shows the screen is pretty full. I've not taken any fan leaves or done any pruning under the screen, the larf will just get thrown in the hash bin.

Just over a week left. She's looking good and starting to yellow out. Should be a pretty decent harvest. I'm hoping for some good sleepy time medicine.

Yes, should be a lot better yield than last time. With these being autoflowering I was afraid to do anything other than some tucking. I've only taken one leaf and that was on accident. Each round is getting better. Soon I hope to have it dialed in.

Hey Dion,
Thanks for stopping by. The pancake filter is basically a fan with a shroud wrapped around it. Then a piece of hardware cloth is put into the shroud. Some quilt batting was placed on top and the carbon dumped on top of that.

This is the fan I used. It is a tad under powered. I may have issues this summer unless I add AC to the room, which I may do.

this is very helpful i actually picked up an ikea malm 2 drawer thingy 2nd hand today, it is only 55cm tall and internal space will be 32x42cm thinkin of running a single polarlight 2 Auto by dutchpassion.

was looking at how u did the bottom drawer so it slides out all the drawers i will copy that fo sho, also great how you showed the holes and stuff and all the vent work down there

I picked up a silverstone fan that is supposed to have 3.26mmH2O so will prob go with the pancake style filter too

I had enough time today to harvest the auto flowering plant from the filing cabinet. I wanted to wait a few more days, but other plans got in the way.


Last shot in the cabinet.
By this point I've already removed a bunch of yellow leaves.


Out of the cabinet and free from the screen.


All manicured and hung up to dry.


I got a few small buds on the bottom. I'm freezing them and going to make a small batch of bubble with that. There was a lot of close sugar trim. I just ordered a set of screens and was planning to dry sift this trim. I got a pretty decent size ball of scissor hash too.

Thanks! The best part about this cab is the camera. I think my limiting factor on yield is the size of the pot right now. I'm going to flower out some of my moms perpetual SOG style next, see how that works in there.

She has had a week or two in the jar and she is curing nicely. I find myself reaching for that jar more often than I should. The taste is... different. Not bad, but more savory like a well cooked steak. The smoke is thick and has a spicy almost harsh taste, though I'm sure the harshness will subside with a longer cure. The potency is there for sure. As a mostly Wide Leaf Drug cultivar it is nice and stoney. Not too bad of a couch lock, I can still tend to my garden, but it takes a lot longer.

I think the right way to use auto flowering strains (indoors) is while growing out a photo period before changing to 12/12. As a single plant, I could have done the same thing with a photo period that was ready to flower. It was fun to watch how fast she was and a fun novelty grow. I still have two more seeds and may do something with them at a later date.

Not a lot going on in here. Just got a couple of bonsai mothers that I'm going to flower out. From my last grow, J-11 (front) and a reveg from my PC, Pineapple Express (back). I've put one in a week after the other. I'm going to put one a week in there until it is full.

Not a lot going on, been adding some bagseed mom's once a week. Was up to five, but had to pull my Pineapple Express. I still have J-11, SLH, DOG, and THC Bomb in there.


Damn girl went full on hermie on me. I noticed the cut in my PC had a male flower on it. I thought it was just stressed because I gave the clone no veg time. When I checked on this girl there were flowers everywhere. I cut her down, as well as the one in the PC. I just hope she didn't pollinate Juanita. I have to cull the clones of her too. Disappointing because the seed plant never did this.
