Funny!!!!!

Every time I think about this garden, I think I'm just a small fry compared to what others are doing!
People are growing more than 25 plants around me. Mendo county allows 25 plants.

Can anyone who lives there grow 25 plants, or do you need to get the legal papers?

You've got to be a California Prop 215 medical marijuana patient in collaboration with at least 3 or 4 other patients, or be State Bill 420 Exempt(meaning your doctor determined you need more than the SB 420 guidelines (12plants)). All the while, now each county in California set it own twisted city ordinances, because they can't legally touch us so they'll just find a way to fine us, that now require us to stay in compliance with or suffer from fines and harassment from city officials with the sheriffs dept. knocking at our door for compliance checks, searching the entire property. Any plants numbers over their Ordinance the demand remove or get fined. Kinda crazy but if you want to stay legit and keep it medical its the things you've gotta deal with out in Cali.

In the County I'm in, the newest ordinance is 12 plant only per property, and of course there all kinda of other rules to like not within 1000' of schools, churches, OLD PEOPLE. Etc. Lol There's a whole book more in depth on the county web site I read once.

Hey Mendo, mad props on the garden bro, watched you blow it up last year, looking even better this year. I'm also in Mendocino county, doing my first outdoor journey this summer. I've really learned a lot by watching your methods, thank you for sharing your experience with us. I was actually in Ukiah yesterday getting my 215 all squared away and the Dr. spoke about having to go to court a lot more recently. Patients are getting messed with by the sheriffs, plants getting pulled, lots of bad shit. He talked about recommending folks go with the 6 plant limit. 6 plant limit? Yeah right. I know this limit is for areas of the state that do not have any of their own regulations in place. The Mendo sheriff website has a link to Ordinance 4291, which plainly states the 25 plant limit and the guidelines that go along with that. The Dr. also advised getting a group together to form a collective garden, again I go back to Ordinance 4291, one patient, one recommendation, 25 plants. Am I missing something here? What has been your experience? Ever have any run ins with the cops? I think watching cops cut down 25 of my beautiful outdoor babes might be the most tragic experience of my life........

YES. basicly Ordinance 4291

The sheriff used to have a 99 plant program. If you jumped threw their hoops you could run 99!!!

Section 9.31.040 Limitation on Number of Plants.
The cultivation of more than twenty-five (25) marijuana plants on one (1) parcel,
either indoors or outdoors, within the unincorporated area of the County,
regardless of whether the person(s) growing the marijuana is/are a "qualified
patient", "primary caregiver", or "collective", is hereby prohibited. Any qualified
patient, person with an identification card, or primary caregiver may not cultivate
marijuana in excess of the amount reasonably related to the current medical
needs of the patients or persons with identification cards for whom the marijuana
is being cultivated, either individually or collectively, but in no case more than
twenty-five (25) total plants on one (1) parcel.

FUCK THE PIGS!!!!!

I watch them come around every year. Not just the sheriff, But you know the convoy of Federal Vehicles and the helicopter.

They are busy going after the cartel and huge gardens that are growing way more than 25.

I'm just a small fry to whats really going on. Seriously.

Shit is NUTS around me, you just cant imagine what is going on.
Cartels, guns, amphetamines, murders. Shit is REAL!!!!

First off the sheriff has to have a reason to come out. They are not just going to cold call you and compliance check.

If your not a problem they aren't a problem.

If its the sheriff they will make you cut them to 25.
If the feds are with them. They don't care about any ordinance and will take it all!!!

And if your neighbor brings in the feds, well you can expect they will be taking everyone in that area out! So you can blame your neighbor for your shit getting cut.

The sheriff knows what's going on, they talk about 2 kinds of growers, responsible and not responsible growers.

Their are not to many of us responsible growers around.
By that I mean people that care about the environment and are not trashing the land and diverting water, polluting everything, burning trash, deadly pesticides, chemical fertilizers.

The sheriff has a radio commercial, that says "its no secret their are commercial marijuana grows that are stealing water from our resources." If you know of illegal water diversion call out tip line!

Yeah buddy, FUCK THE PIGS! Words to live by. Seriously though thanks for the info, I was a little discouraged when i left the Dr. office yesterday. I dont think Im in a real hot spot for all that cartel shit, just outside the A.V., but it sure seems like everyone is growing a little bit. Pretty quiet around here, seems to be some increased air traffic however, kinda expected that one. I defiantly consider myself a responsible grower, all organic methods, ROLS. Does anyone still do the zip tie program?

Wow man, just read this whole thread lol What a great spot you have, and a beautiful grow.

Ill def be watching this crazy adventure!!

There has been no actual link between cartels and Mexican immigrant growers. It's all Leo b.s. Propaganda. The cartels told there people to stop growing weed this year even in Mexico. Nobody buys mexi brick anymore. The price went up because of border security, and people would rather buy Cali out door now.

I agree that a lot of the cartel talk is Leo propaganda, and that nobody buys mexi brick anymore. However I have to disagree about the cartels telling their people not to grow herb anymore. They get most of their money from cannabis, even if the prices fell hard. The cartels also want in on legal pot, and are making big moves in Colorado.

Just my two cents.:tiphat:

I understand why you feel that way we live in cali but I assure you in Texas they still smoke mexi brick I saw it over and over again while I was working oil down there...amazing since there is so much land and so little leo in some of those small towns with 1000+ acre ranches.

Lol. I'm from Texas. I grew up there and grew weed there for a decade. Back in the day I moved literal tons of that Shwag. It's popularity has decreased drastically. I used to get it for 150-300 a bow. It's gone up to 5 in many places, and you can find Cali od for as little as 1000, and it is much better. Mexi brick does still dominate small towns. Top shelf is a fortune out there.

Many of the immigrant growers moved to Cali, and Texas to get way from cartels. Their quality has gone up just from starting with female clones vs mexi brick seed.

Sorry don't mean to get off track.

What does Cartel mean, anyone looking Mexican & South American growing weed in California? Or anyone that's not Caucasian growing Weed?
Maybe its anyone the Majority population doesn't want growing and profiting from MJ manufacturing. Its legal justification to used by the State and Fed enforcement arm to prevent a growing Hispanic population from achieving financial and political power in California.

During the Battle of the Alamo in Texas the US government stated fighting against the Mexican Cartel to save White women from a murderous, raping South American men.. the same propaganda back then, the same now..

Whats the difference breaking the law is breaking the law, whenever I grow its nothing less than 200 plants min. regardless of the law, state or county!.... you cant get unpregnant.

Nice grow!

when they talk about "cartel" or "mexi-cali" herb, its usually mexican nationals or mexican americans hired/financed by groups below the border. Some have connections in mexico, a lot of others dont and are just ex-migrant workers trying to make a buck. They usually grow guerrilla style on public land, or they buy cheap land and grow on that. some are advanced, with full infrastructure like pumps, greenhouses, etc, but most are just living in tents and off the land. a lot of them run hoses and tubing into the local watersheds to pump out water….

mexicali is the new brick pack in CA. its usually premature, seeded and leafy, but has full nug structure and isn't compressed and stemmy like border packs. they are going for the cheap, usually around 5-600 a LB in norcal. me and the broker homies like to call it "scrap sativa" since a lot of those growers are associated with MS-13 and other Sur gangs..
