70w hps + 17w LED grow

17W of hps maybe can't be used for growing, but with led, you can grow and flower your plant even with less than 17W. in my case i used 2,4W /plant and it made some buds.
knna: when people want to be smart and they start disgussing about things they don't have even a basic knowledgement, then you get statements like this one from truth.
i told so many times, and i can repeat it some more times:
IT IS NOT ALL ABOUT LUMENS
IT IS NOT ALL ABOUT LUMENS

should i repeat it one more time for you truth, or did you get what i wanted to say? plant does not have eyes, so it doesn't give a fuck about lumens.

very intrigued by this but am on a tight budget. what kind of cost am i lookin at for a 200w array?

if i'm not mistaken there as a chart that said 100w of led is equivalent to 400w hps, so 200w would be equivalent to 800w hps.

i hope i can post some pics today, but it is not up to me.it is going very well, but i have some problems with temps. during the light cycle i have around 17-18 °C and i'm still in veg.how bad or critical is this and how can i raise it?

its hard to compare bulbs of different types against each other.. if i throw the same amount of watts of cfl in a box to a hps i still will never get the same penetration and distance as the hps, but using lst or scrog can still end up with good results, just growin style is different, i dont see how it would be any diff between led or hps, u just cant compare against each other u can only show how to use them effectively to get a result at the end of flowering.. just my thoughts. would be good to see a purely led grow and see the results .
As far as i remember being told :D lumens just a general guide, just like the watts of bulb etc of the same bulb type ie u use cfl's a 40 watt higher lumen bulb is gonna be more effective than a 20watt lower lumen bulb.. thats just logical in a way but then u get colour spectrum the plant wants in veg or flower so growers use the neccessary ones at the right time i was told its more about PAR photosynthesis active radiation?? or sommat similar to that.. basically the amount of photons of the correct spectrum hitting the plant to be used by the plant. so colour spectrum can be very important, as any out of the right spectrum isnt used.. lumens tends to be how human eyes register n is for selling lights with an idea on how bright they will be for us. doesnt have anything to do with the photosynthesis of the plant as far as im aware.. good luck with ya grows greg, someones gotta do what N.A.S.A wont :D
