Your grow is looking really great now I've also been considering topping with leca - I see a few potential advantages:
Less evaporation from soil - sometimes my larger plants are getting a little too dry in only 2 days. Cracks forming in the soil when it dries out makes it very hard to water because everything just runs through. Less evaporated water from the pots (and less evaporated runoff from the bottom tarp...) should also lower the humidity - budrot risk should be lower.
Less salt buildup should also make it easier to reuse soil + the leca might make it harder for those damn fungus gnats - might make it easier though since the top layer of soil under the leca is more moist, not sure?
You probably need to let them dry out a little between waterings though, to ensure that oxygen gets down there once in a while.
I never really flush my pots- the last 7-10 days before harvest they're on a diet on pure water, and I do also give them pure water once in a while at other times.
