Pindstrup Plus soil + leca layer in buttom n top.
40 drippers
Scrog net 1,3x1,0 m.
600 watt digital ballast.
6500K mh for veg
and Sunmaster Deluxe for flowering.

Flowering Cycle started 12 august.

18 august - hps 12/12 - day 6 of flowering (the bulb is only 27 cm from closest leaf, so hope they get feed well with lumens. A 40cm fan is cooling it all down, running so close on day 5 now and no burns sofar)

Mr. Tony - I thought the leca would help the nutrientsollution not to evaporate. Its only like covering the top, but it works. Wheater its good or bad? dunno, but in my previos grow the ladies drank like 1-1½ liter every 2-3 days. Now, same size pots - till now every 6-7 day, and could easily do 7-8 days, but then they would be dry. My idea is that most of the salts building up, is caused by evaporation and leaving the salts behind. Dunno if it works that way, but they grow very fast i think. So lets see...

I have trouble growing 3 different strains though(organically in a soiless mix). LOL!!

Do you ever have problems with your nute regime with so many different strains?

toodles - Thx - Its only my second scrog experiment... And till now, I have no "known" nute issues... Only thing I would like to change is, that theres to many Arjans Haze #2 in the right side. These girls fill up so nicely, and really easygoing for scrogging. So these should have been mixed more in between the other strains. But too late now, so Im hoping the left side can follow the right - in growing speeds.

Im pulling up all small undergrowth and bending down the mains - for 3-4 days more - I think. And from there its an open race.

Bigtimer7 - Thx man, I cant wait for the budding too... think tonight/tomorrow, first "bud signs" will be viewable.

Heya Smeden, so you are not going to use the LEDs on this run? I thought that they did a nice job in the last grow. Either way, you have a nice selection of plants. It should be another fun grow to watch.

Smoking Gun - Welcome back - hehe, the leds was the reason that the last grow fucked up... the timer was wrongly set on 24h - 1 month into flowering. And couldnt see the light in the cabin, as its much weaker and not as bright as hps/mh. Hmm, yup agree with you that they did good on the outer plants, but think they r best for veg. So now im using in a veg closet

bluebublelove - thx, and good luck you too... I love the scrogging.

By the way, yesterday i measured the lux from the bulb. And at 27 cm distance in center of net it measures 158000 lux, each cm from here equals 10000 lux and maxes out on 200000 lux in about 22-23 cm. With these facts I think my view changes a bit, think I will designe my next scrog net more like a bucket and the light can be put down in a hole and have 25-35 cm free to the plants all way round and in bottom = vertical bulb placement. Dunno if its doable, but if it is, the colder weather here soon, will help on cooling it with one big vent from the bottom. think a 15-20 cm diameter would be nice.

I also changed bulb from Sunmaster deluxe to GIB Xtreme. The Sunmaster had 1 grow on the back and showed me 8000 less lux than the GIB in same distance.

I just mean that the measurements shows me that the lux that has been reflected on the reflector is not so strong. What we want is directly light on as much as possible.

Anyone know how much 1 lux is? or 1 candlefoot (CF) the meter can measure in these.

I will take some update shots tonight, flowering is starting... and unfortunately the AK48 was a male, so I must have been to "happy" when selecting. But they fill out nicely without it anyway... hmm

Heres a few update pics. today is flower day 11 and pistils are forming all over. Done my last "bend down" today, so the plan is to let them rise from now.

Overview - the AK48 was male, so elvis left the building. Dunno how I could choose a wrong cut... hmm nothing to do about it now.

The 420 Wookie - yup have been running 2 x 600 up there in my previous grow. But think its more fun with 1. The g/watt ratio will be better this way - i think...

These are the best suited plants for scrogging that I have, the rest "non pictured" plants are more the single cola type and a clone is kept for future single cola tryout grow.

Nothing more to report, estimating an 5-8 weeks of flowering more to go, but will harvest to the early side...

Earlier in your grow i was thinking that you had too many plants for your light, but hey, it looks like you know what you're doing. I'll be watching from here on out, nice show.

Skrappie - Im in the learning by doing phase. But my goal is to veg under fluos - find out how many days veg and 600 mh. This time was 10 days veg in 8 l pots. Next maybe will be 5 days?
My goal is to cut as much of the 600 watt run time per grow = lower total wattage usage. And again - mo plants to fill out same area that 5 x 1 months veggies would. I think?

Another impressive factum I discovered is. When I use the leca in a top layer the evaporation really makes a big difference. My previous grow I watered 1-1½ liter every 3 day (roughly) this time only watering day 5-6 till now. Same environment but they drink much less now. I see it this way.

Before I watered

23 ladies x 1½ liter nutes 2 times a week = 69 liters per week.
Now I have 18 ladies, but for easier calculation we say 23 x 1,5 liters once a week = 34,5 liter.

As I see this, in my previous grow over 34 liters evaporated from my 23 ladies during a week. This I mean could be the main reason that we sometimes have problems with the salt build ups. Take as an example your nute cans, look where the nutes drops dried out - salty as hell right?

Till now I have made no flushes, and the girls are growing beautifully.

Planned on flushing next watering, but part of me wants to see how it goes if not... any recoms?

Smeden - This is a really nice SCROG you're running here. Clean, uniform canopy, and a lot of budsites. Can't wait to see what you pull with the 600 using this method.

We are doing somewhat simular grows. I have 25 plants in 1.7 gallon square pots. I left room at the top of my pots and am thinking of filling them in with grow rocks for the same purpose of preventing some evaporation. I could easily see how that could cause a buildup of un-used salts and eventually a PH problem or even lockout. So we'll see how we do.
