Day 34 of Flower:

Tomorrow will start week 5. Top dressed the 3 plants with worm castings (4 TBSP per gallon of medium) and organic fertilizer (1 TBSP per gallon of medium). Also added Mycorrhizae (2 TBSP total per pot as a top feed). For those wondering I like to add additional amendments in the soil from the get go to avoid top feeding during harvest and allow the microbiology to do the real feeding. The Groundswell soil I pick up usually has enough food for 4 weeks. However when I put these into flower I knew the soil for the two large plants had pretty much used all food available to it. Kinda wanted to see as an experiment how well it would produce with what it had but I am noticing the plants are in need of some extra food. If I were to top dress in the future I would do it day one of the harvest and week 4-5 depending on when I had time. Otherwise adding enough amendments from the beginning and flipping to harvest about 3 weeks into veg growth should provide ample food in the medium all the way through harvest.

Plants seem to be happy with the top feeding, now only time will tell if I can squeeze some more out of them before harvest is up.

I pulled the trigger on a Mars Hydro TS3000 today. Excited for that to arrive and to move my 3 plants into the new space under new light.

Good choice. I just finished up my first run with a tsl2000. Awesome light. Broke a gram per watt with a 3 week veg.

4 plants, 310 grams dried, and cured. Quality is very good.

Nice that's pretty good! My buddy has been having great success with ceramic metal halide. He ended up with over 900 grams between 4 plants pulling 315 watts on one fixture with 98% reflective material in the dome. These plants were in veg for 3 weeks or so before the flip. He is an absolute pro but it makes me want to try out the ceramaic metal halide route for a grow and see for myself.

The reflective material in the dome he uses is 98% reflective so very little light is lost in that sense and he also has dialed in the strain he prefers to grow so that helps.

The light in the foreground of this pic is green crack grown in coco under a DE HPS 1000. Nothing to pop a cork over, but a very good trouble free run. It weighed in at 860g. If your friend pulled more than that with less than 1/3 the light congratulations are definitely in order.

Day 42 of Flower:

The last 4 days have been a battle with these mother plants. It seems I had gotten to used to feeding them on a schedule that I forgot the golden rule of paying attention to the plants and watering when the soil is dry. Overnight only 2 of the ladies decided to wilt all the fan leafs pretty hard. A few weeks prior I was seeing what I thought was Nitrogen toxicity but could have also had over watering in the mix at that time too. I let all 3 plants chill for 4 days and didn't water in that time. I watered them this morning and the two large females perked right up and most of those leafs are back to normal. The Skunk was unaffected and didn't wilt. I really like this genetic it can take to over watering and high temps well so far. On to the pictures enough rambling.

Still no nose really on the Skunk. The buds are turning into fat monsters quickly and I think will out yield the other two easily.

A friend had some trainwreck and wedding cake seeds for me so I couldn't resist getting those going. I didn't germinate in a wet towel or a cup of water I just planted them right into the soil and put plastic sandwich bags over the tops to create some humidity. One trainwreck came through in 2 days which was pretty impressive I will let you figure out which one that is.

Day 48 of Flower:

I was having some wilting issues with two large females last week. Excited to report that that is under control now and realized the plants were not over watered during the hotter temps but under watered. They are drinking about 2 liters of water per watering at this point and they might need a little bit more. The Super Skunk has really gotten thiccc and the the kolas are massive in comparison. The super skunk seems to be able to tolerate higher temps and less frequent watering better.

Day 55 of Flower:

Looks like the two large females are gaining a little weight and filling out more. I keep checking the trichromes every day but most are clear and not ready yet. The Super Sour Skunk is just starting to change hair colors and has a slight nose. It's a very dark strain in comparison to the others.
