400w 2liter SOG Nirvana Snow White

Thanks to all who keep showing an interest in my modest little grow. This thread would be nothing without final yields, and we'll get there, as promised!

Here's where we're @ days 52-55 flower. I've already chopped one, and she yielded 6g's. My hope was to yield an avg of 7g's. Potency is pretty darn good @ 51 days, I plan on letting the majority go upwards of 65 days, maybe a few will go 70. Plenty of cloudy trichs @ 51 days. But this go around, I want some more couchlock/body.

Here's an update on the Bubba & OG Kush clones picked up from a local dispensary. Vegged a little over a month. I could have grown the bubba out bigger, but I'm getting worried cause its been over a month vegged now, and not a pistil in sight. The OG grew at a faster rate. Managed to take clones off each of course.

Now here's a monster bush, that I'm super excited about!! It's not the size I'm excited about, but the stink that this girl gives off, even throughout the entire veg process. I'm excited about these genetics, and I have a feeling these genetics are the hard work of some old hippy from up in norcal. I got 12 beans out of 3 1/8's of "Afghani Haze 12" from a local dispensary. Fully matured nice looking beans. The smell is heavenly. I cant wait for those nugs to frost over!

Here's an old mom that I decided to flower out. She's a good 6months old. I've shaved back the roots twice on her. I've taken several clones, so I still have the genetics around. She's a different phenotype of the Snow White that I'm running in the SOG above. This one has quite decent potency, and a very nice citrus/piney smell. She's got about 8 billion tops from all the cutting back I've had to do over the months, cause she would constantly outgrow the veg cab and get smashed into the roof heh. It took her a few days to get going in flower, as I had recently shaved the roots.

11 days flowering, vegged for a long time, in the same small size pot.

Now I bet your all wondering, "How in the hell is he fitting all that under a single 400w hps?!?!!?!?!".

Well I'm not, we've officially upgraded to another 400w in another air-cooled hood. 800 watts of HID!! This is gonna get super exciting in the coming months.

I can tell you this about the 2 litre sog, its a pain in the friggin ass to water all those little damn containers! I'm not 100% sure as to which direction I'll go in with this new setup. But if I do go sog again, its gonna have to be soil bed style in a sandbox or some such. I move my plants into the kitchen for watering cause we have a tile floor, and that makes cleanup tons easier (so you could imagine what a PITA it is to lug all those 2 litre's 2 at a time!). With a soil bed, it would be much easier to water, although I'd have to be careful not to overwater. At the moment, I'm leaning more towards growing ~12 medium sized bushes. I can fit at least that many 10" pots in the closet, and I've been yielding 1.5oz's off that size container.

no longer a "modest little grow" now though is it . You should be overflowing with bud come harvest time with all them budsites you have this time round.

you could put all those 2 liter cups in a tub and assuming you have drainage holes for the 2 liter bottles, just water the tub. additionally you could through the 2 liters on top of a tub that was already full of soil, and the roots will seek it out and use it. that bottom tub need not have drainage holes. so no more messy cleanup either way.

Wonderful thread. I've been catching up on your latest and it looks quite healthy. I'm about to embark on a mini scale of what you are doing. I have one WW & one WWxBB (by FMS) that were vegged around 50 days and are now at 14 days flower. I've been taking clones from these 2 plants and my Blue Mystic mom plant along the way and plan to transplant them to 2 liter bottles soon. I'm still trying to nail down the cloning gig. I've done a lot of experimenting and killed my share of clones.
I noticed your string you are using on your pots and wanted to show you another method I ran across. I've done the string - rubber bands - most anything that would work but this has been the easiest for me. Here's the LST job I did with pipe cleaners. I bought the long (12") pipe cleaners in the fabrics department at Wallys. I have holes drilled around the top of my pots for LST purposes so I can keep my plants very short. I'm growing under 250w CFLs.
Their light does not penetrate as deeply as an HPS so I have to keep them very snug on top of the plants.
