Light cycle,,, 3 hours in the morning,,, 5 hours day light,,, 3 hours in the evening,, dark time.. no timers,, cause they spoil things!!! These days it's all about using less energy to make dank buds from ..lol

Sorry folks no bud shots just yet... these were taken yesterday... day 1 on flower

2 giesels on the right, 2 FFAs in the middle, and a grandaddy purp and black domina on the left.

The ones in the back are Alpha diesel, and unless I find a better OD spot in the next few hours they are going in the trash... oh well...

It's been quiet here for a while...

Here's a couple of shots of my current 400W grow. Nothing fancy, the vital statistics are:

• 4 Mandala Seeds Satori
  430W SON-T agro
  Medium John Innes compost (from B&Q for you UK'ers)
  Food is bog-standard Miracle grow all purpose soluble plant food
  Plants at day 70 of 12/12

The big one stretched a little more than I allowed for, hence the bent main bud and the couple of crown tops (due to mild light burn!)

Possibly 2 weeks left, but there is quite a variation on phenotypes, so the smaller, more indica, plant may be chopped this week...

Needless to say, I'm quite happy with the progress of these girls and I'm hoping to re-veg the big one to use as a mother plant

Using BioBizz Bloom and Top Max for flower.
Was using age old organics, but made the switch to BioBizz.

Finally got my 400 hps and man is it fucking bright as hell cant wait till i move next month and have my cab. I plan on 3X3X5ft cab 9 plants in 3 gal pots each
hoping for 10 to 12 oz a harvest would really like to break a record and pull a pound off my 400 some day just wait and see if I can make it happen.

Fellow 400'ers, after going to 12/12 when can I look for the first sings of sex?6 to 10 inch plants in gallon pots started 12/12 a week ago, I only want to be able to take a few clones and butcher the males. Today during a mental expedition into my closet I topped one that was 12'' or taller just dumb shit shoulda gotten sex but if it is a female I may get 3 or more clones. then it would be dumb luck. Good growing folks

All 400 watt soil growers. What size pots are you using? What size pot do you think is best suited for a 400? Another guy asked this earlier but he didnt get any comments. Was hoping some people would comment on what size they using. I recently got 400 and bought 6 3 gallon grow bags. I think I should of gotten the 5 gallon grow bags. I never used a 400 but Im thinkin 6 5 gallon grow bags would be perfect... Anyway everyone says there lights and fans and how many plants. BUT WHAT SIZE ARE THE POTS? Thank you in advance.

DEPENDS ON THE KIND OF GROW thats probably why nobody answered the question.

if youre planning to do a SeaOFGreen with little knee-tall plants then you would use one gallon pots or less..

well.. since there are so many factors that would determe what is more suitable for you and what isnt.. i will make an example .. taking the occasion to show my 400w grow i forgot there was a 400watt club COOL

this is what i grew in more or less 1 x 1 meter in 6,5 liter pots = 1.2 gallons more or less

the left pic was taken yesterday. There are 7 plants in there .. 6 would have been perfect.. 35 days of veg +/-..
2 plants got transplanted in 8, 5 liter pots (2.2 gal)

if i used 3 gallon pots (11 liters!) i would have had like 4 big plants in there.. more or less like pompey monkey did ^^

i hope it gave you an idea .. i think its easyer 4U to make your own opinion with some video material to look at

Thanx man appreciate your quick response.My closet is 4 1/2 ft. high 3 1/2 feet long by about 22 inches wide. I have a 400 light with a 6 inch cooltube and 190 cfm whisperline fan. I am gonna have ducting from the cool tube to outside my growcloset. on the otherside of the cooltube it will just be a open hole. Figured I could leave openings on the bottom of the room on each side of the closet for intake and they would suck into the open side of the cooltube and out into my bedroom. So what do you think ? Is the 190 cfm gonna be enough to cool? Maybe a couple computer fans as well for air circulation ? Im gonna use 6 3 gallon bags.

That should be plenty of circulation. Are you using Mh/CMH/HPS?

I grew 4 under 400 going in blind. I got lucky and learned much.
