Hey there! I also use 400w hps and would like to join.
Here's my current grow in flowering - Domestic Balkan strains- http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=75936
There are two Amnesia from Hy-pro and a Masterkush from Black Label in vegetative box. They are a week, or so, old. I am also ordering some Satori seeds from Mandala and really looking forward to it.

hey guys just a quick question.. under a 400w light, how long do people usually let there plants veg before switching to 12/12?

Mine go about 4 weeks.

Here's a couple of pics of my 400 HPS setup,home built basement 4X4 closet. Plants are in 10 gal storage totes.6 days into 12/12 and ready for some training. Variety is the spice of life,so I've got Pineapple Chunk,Mississippi Mud,Grapefruit ,and Skunk X going. They vegged under the 400 about 6 weeks,I was waiting for the smaller clones to catch up. Some day I'll have my ducks in a row and have all clones ready at the same time,same size. Grow on.........

Alright I got through about 25% of the thread and there are a lot of sick buds being grown under 400W. I just purchased a 400W Lumatek today and from the looks of it, I should be expecting some nice buds hopefully . Keep blazin.

new to the forums am going to buy a 400 mh for a start and then get a 400 hps when i start to flower will this keep my heat leavels down cause venting heat from air cooled lights is a pain in my ass (but can be done) verses just 1 600 hps or 1 1000 hps

Whats your f*ckin problem u jelous pig-shit? This thread is '400watt club' if havn't noticed, its not to show the best buds but to show buds grown under 400 watters... The 19th & 20th pics r the same but one is darker than the other & BTW why don't u show us YOUR impressive buds then?? i bet u'r one of those beggers for a toke . U say u feel sorry for me, but i feel sorry that this world is still filled with senseless jelous bums like u....

my plants look better but not worth taking band space 3 are 4 at a time would-be nice and many say the same .You must be a loser that is all you have maybe you can put some pig-shit on them and maybe they look better are maybe after each pic say some thing about them what you done use to post pic on OG all the time
