That is some CRAZY growth!!! What lighting do you use for vegging? How many watts per sqft?
These plants are new moms they are grown under 600 watters 2 -600 watters over every 4x8 tray but we have the same growth under T5 Bad Boys also. This is why we only veg for 2 weeks the plants tripple in size after flip so these would be way to big for our rooms..JACK

Thanks Doc, how you feeling??

It seems in the last couple days the girls decided to get out of 1st gear and into second. Seeing some growth the past couple days. Figured it's been a while since some pics, so may as well wait another day till tomorrow:biggrin: Tomorrow once the lights turn off in the morning I'm going to get my scrog tables up and put plants underneath them. Fire up the 3rd light and let 12/12 commence:woohoo:

Then we will see how they turn out in about 60 days!!! Talk about hurry up and wait!!

Wait are those your pics or Doc's in post 165? Either way, I think the rapid growth was due to the soil space! My plants 'blow up' when I change up from 3" to 2gal pots. Can't wait till my remodel is done and I go from clone plug to 3" to 20gal pots for the rest of their lives ha. Growth is going to be explosive I bet. Not to mention a 600w MH vs 495w PLL's.

LED, you don't work with the plants during the light period? I run 24hr veg, due to heat (I need more in the winter, my room gets down to 70* during flower lights off, and I like the flexibility of hours during the summer) and work with them during lights on for obvious reason, and the same has carried over to flower. I'm curious to see your stretch between flip. I wonder if you should run them a few more days under 3k (3.3k, actually, right?) before flipping, I screen a week or so before I flip, and that's what Doc told me to do too.

Those pics the Doc posted were of his girls. I wish mine were that size right now!!!!!!!!

I'm running my two lights right now at 1000W each. When I do get 3 lights going I may actually run them at 1150W each and then on my heavy electrical use days on the weekends when laundry gets done and such I will turn the lights back down to 1000W to compensate for the extra usage. I'm not 100% sure if I'm going to flip to flower tomorrow or maybe continue vegging till the weekend and then flip to flower???:whee: I think I will wait to see how plants fill out the table and decide then if I veg for a few more days or not?

I think because PK by nature is a short bushy plant, and the fact that I started supercropping so early on, that's what kept the plants from growing upwards and getting the height that I wanted.... If by the end of stretch the plants still aren't high enough for me to get under the scrog and work and feed the girls. I may remove the scrog table all together for this round and just put stakes in the corners of each tote and let the plants do there own thing. The next 2-3 weeks will dictate exactly what direction I take:tiphat:

I'll snap some pics tomorrow of the girls before and after being placed under the scrog:biggrin:

I would let the table fill out a bit more, but lets see how it looks with the screen on and also get some of the pros opinions.

LONG freakin day. Lots of running around for one thing or another. Then spent time setting up scrog tables over plants to just take it all back down again!!! Plants just aren't high enough to be running the tables. I could barely even get under the table let alone be able to work on the plants or feed them! So off the tables went!!!:wallbash:

Just going to run the plants as is as see how they turn out. Probably have to get some stakes and run them in the corners of the totes to help prop up the buds, hopefully:biggrin:

Turned the 3rd light on and flipped to 12/12. I honestly think my biggest mistake so far this grow was I started supercropping WAY to early and the PK just kept getting denser instead of growing taller. As you can see in these pics there is a crazy amount of branching going on with these plants and I believe all the plants energy went into becoming dense instead of stretching. A mistake I won't make again!!! I think I will have to spend some time with my pruners and thin out some of this branching..... What do you guys think?

If I was you I'd do what your doc tells you

If those girls were mine I'd strip the bottom 1/3 off between week 1 and 2 of 12/12.

Yup they look nice and bushy lol sucks about the height may- be next round plants will be little taller but i think its time to flip them buggers what cha think LED ????
something to think about next round is wait till plants are 12" tall or so then start training by starting to super crop top and some top side shoots this all done in 4" or 6" pots, then few days prior to transplanting into 5 gallon turn pots on there side so all growth starts to grow one way
i know you were anxious to get on training your plants, super cropping etc buts its getting to know your plants and tools in your grow room and how they react here are some pictures i dug up kinda giving you a idea on how i do things if it might help in any way

yup last night was the first cycle of 12/12. Really looking forward to the upcoming month as this for me is when things get exciting and I can finally see if all my hard work pays off or not:biggrin:

Also yesterday I gave the girls 4 cups each of water with Benefox and a little Pro Guard. Tomorrow will be feed day giving them 4 cups of nutes around 800ppm. With a slight adjustment to nutes now that I've flipped to flower. Will wait one week and then will start with some Bloom Booster, Karbo Boost and some Monsta Bud.

Took a few more pics this morning, group shot plus pics of some various girls. They may not have the height I wanted but there are quite a few bud sites so still may turn out to be a half decent harvest....?:plant grow:

looks awsome there LED i would rotate your totes every couple of days in flower by 1/4 turn or so

Looookin good LED! I think you're going to have quite the decent harvest indeed. I wonder if you want to tie them down a bit maybe. (Check out what PK is doin https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=237807) Being able to rotate them will be so nice. My tent (4x4, 6 plants, SCROG) shows how badly they want to rotate. The middle under the lamp has the biggest growth.

I wish I had waited till tonight to supercrop my clones. They're about 10" tall and I sc'd them down low. We'll see how they turn out, it may make them a bitch to work on, it may be a bit too early and too low. We shall see, its a learning process after all.

Regarding stripping the bottom in the first couple weeks. I know this should go in my own thread (non existent :p) but you guys are good natured. I stripped a bit initially, but as they kept growing, I didn't strip much more. This has resulted in there being what I think is known as larf within the canopy. I'm at 42 days (70ish day plant), and I am thinking it would be a good idea to snip most/all of the little tiny shit out of the bottom of the plants. Whatcha all think?

Your on the same page as us Romulus. Doc and I discussed earlier today that I will drill some holes on the sides of totes so that I can tie branches and spread plant apart a bit more now since I won't be using the scrog table...:tiphat:

How are the bugs doing? Mine seem to be less plentiful but not gone at all. Need to call around and source nematodes this week I think.

After my first pyrethium bomb and gnatrol soil drench. I went about 5-6 days without noticing a gnat or finding one on my sticky traps. Then around day 7-8 I did find another 1-2 on my sticky traps and also found one floating dead in my bucket that catches the water from the dehumidifier:wallbash:

So I did a second pyrethium bomb about a week ago as well the doc concocted a method of watering that doesn't get the soil on the top wet. Knock on wood but so far haven't found one dead or alive:woohoo: I'm thinking on future grows as a preventative on fresh soil I will do a gnatrol soil drench as well as add some nematodes and that should completely take care of anything that may have arrived in the soil!!!!

I spent 5 hours today spreading my plants open with string and holes I drilled into my totes. Then I did a light/medium defoliation as the canopy was still far to dense with leaf coverage to let light in efficiently. After that I did a preventative spray with a 50% dose of Scotts Eco sense Bug b Gone. My buddy says he's been spraying this product once a week at 50% strength as a preventative and hasn't had gnats or spider mites in over a year. Plus this product is safe to spray right up till harvest on fruits and vegetables. I'll let you know if indeed it keeps bugs away.

Solid. I will pick up some gnatrol, and I am without a doubt using it on the rest of my new soil, along with nematodes. This is BS, I haven't had bugs in the 15 months I've been growing, and then BAM, one bag of soil... I think my dad uses that Bug B Gone stuff on his house plants, the bottle looks like something I've seen in his shed before. I'll pick up a bottle tomorrow, I need to attack mine once again as the mosquito dunks don't seem to be doing enough :(

Edit: How much gnatrol did you use? How many gallons of mix per gallon of soil, etc... Thanks man!
