Hi Magic, thanks, and yes I have seen that, that's what my very first one did, that's where all this came from. Though these days, when I'm doing a tri run, anything that starts out bifoliar, gets killed off before it gets a chance to "evolve" Anything that alternates tend to get smoked rather than bred with, though I think I'm going to make an exception with the quad on that one, just to have a look at the seeds. Though they wont go into the tri line breeding plan, just curiosity. I'm still looking for the next set of parents, there are 2 hopefulls in the current batch of newbies, pictured above.
This thing confuses me. I hope it doesn't revert, but from looking at it, I really don't think it will. Also, it still has been producing some bifoliar branches, but the very oldest branches are starting to get a few with 3 distinct leaves on each node. This plant has grown so incredibly slowly. I don't think I've ever had a veg plant go this slow. I think as it matures it may improve somewhat. In my cab at least, veg speed is irrelevant due to my perpetual setup. I can veg extra plants so I always have at least something ready to replace a harvested plant. Whatever strain is ready may go in, but if they veg slow, it just has to wait till next wave. It may keep it nice and short too for guerrilla growing, and with the trifoliate growth, it could be a great outside plant. I think that's where trifoliate is at it's best, when nature gives it a huge space and lots of light. I'm still going to flower her indoors though. She's C99(Shiva Skunk, Skunk#1, Northern Lights #5, and Haze) crossed with Blue Kiev, which has AK-47, Blueberry, Silver Haze, and Juicy Fruit in it's lineage. So slow grower or not, I want to smoke this!
Does anyone offer trifoliate beans that are legit anywhere? I might buy some off auction or whatever after I get my harvest.
