shaun, 42c? where on earth do you live, egypt? It makes sense to me to start an outdoor indoor and get them pretty big ready for the start of the season, that is if there is no problem relocating them.

Al, yeah post it up, always happy to see other tri's, I love to see other examples of them having worked with them for so many years now.

MGJ, hello stranger. I have to keep myself occupied somehow, you know how long I've been playing with the tris, actually gonna have some buds to photo rather than just seeds over the next couple of months, so take a peek now and then.

I'm not suprised, here in the uk, the temp has never reached 100f, we got close last year 99.something, and no one could cope with that. There again no many have a/c at home here, public transport is a joke, and the humidity is just silly most of the time, for example today it was 93% humidity.

Our public transport failed on these days the tracks buckled they had people with hoses wetting tracks to try and provent it our new skywheel thing obsevation wheel(i think you have something similar in uk)the frame twisted and buckled after only 3 months of use it is being pulled down now great spending of our tax dollars obout 8 million i think we also had a power problem with the overuse of electrical items eg a/c,fans elec kept cutting out for extended periods 10-24 hours(lucky i wasnt growing indoors) we had people coming into work(butcher shop) with insurance cheques purchasing replacment meat products, for it to happen to them again 2 days later no to mention the water restrictions we have can only water gardens on wed,sun between 5am and 7am i mean who is awake sunday at 5 to water their gardens especially when its your only day off work humidity isnt much off a problem osually around 30% 70-80% if it rains in room usually around 40% constantly can sometimes get as low as 20% indoors

Hey, GMT. I know it's been a few weeks since this little chapter of the trifoliate tale came to an end, but I dug up a couple of nice pictures of the deceased. For the sake of you knowing what I was working with, here is a pretty nice one.

He was a tight-noded, odorless and thoroughly unremarkable male. May he rest in peace.

Hi Shaun, wow crazy temps you get down there. We're always complaining about the weather here in the uk, and humidity is my main complaint, but I think I'd rather have high humidity than temps that can bend railway tracks.

Hi Strain, yeah that is a nice pic of him, I'm looking for a nice boy at the moment, hmmm, you know what I mean. I have a few chances to get one, I've got the pics below.

Hi there GMT i finally got to take some pics today after a rearanging room of the 2 tri's i have left from close inspection today they have about 5-10 seed each seeds i can see are poking through the calyx and look like they are about to fall out they suffered a bit from me not being able to walk and get in there and water them anyway here is the pics
tri #1
side veiw of #1
#2 ,if you can see side branches they have lost the tri in stretch but the main stem shows the tri characteristic from bottom to top i hope you can make them out i forgot the macro button on my crapy camera i want to upgrade to a digital slr, i have an old film slr a pentax k1000 which i used all the way through school when studing photography, i used to develop all my own photos but the darkroom eventually became grow room after persistance from my old grow partner, but the price of some of these cameras are unreal $1000 i found some on an aussie site like ebay for about $400 but they dont have the lithium batteries so it will chew through the AA bateries quick they have a new model comming out soon with the lithium batteries so i am hanging out for that, hope all is well, stay safe Shaun

Hi Shaun, yeah I can see the tri trait clearly, she looks like a reliable tri, pitty about the self pollenisation, but like I said, you have to at least pop the seeds, just for the sake of science lol.
I love the dark room becoming a grow room, seems like a very natural progression to me :).
You wana hit ebay mate, lots and lots of very cheap digi cams on there for not much money at all. Certainly far less than you pay for an slr body alone never mind adding the price of lenses. Mine is only a point and shoot, and I saw one like my last one, that I got some really cool macros with, going for around £20, so that's $30 usa. Just pick one with a nice close macro feature and your golden, dont need huge MPs a nice 6mp will do fine for icmag, and if you went for an 8 mp, it would be a while before needing another upgrade. Dont need to go all bubbleman on us lol. he's using 24mp, but his macro shots are just incredible, though not many of us can drop a few grand on the body and then add lenses for another grand.

Yea it sure can be an expensive hobby both of them the camera i am using now is a 7.2mp samsung l 730 the wife has only just got it so still trying to figure it out can get some reasonable macro shots with it but i would like to get in closer without distortion thats about as good as i can get it, trying to use the program function and change setting but the auto function seems to work better i am going to try and take some pics through my 30x loupe soon

top 2 tips I can give on macros is lots of light and a fast shutter speed with an aperature number as high as the cam will go, or a tripod.

I think those 2 are my closest macros that I had in my old gallery, I havent done any for a while though, I should get a few up over the next few weeks as pistils start to form on the new plants.

Hi Shaun, Wow at the current conversion rate, I remember it being 3aus$ to the £1, now looks to be more like 1.9 ish, that's got to hurt the aus exports. That camera looks to be a really nice one for out and about, love the 1/3200 fast shutter speed, but the light that you would need for that would be ridiculous, for instance the typical speed I use directly under a 400w bulb is around 125th of a second at F8 ISO 50. Though that camera doesnt seem to mention a macro facility, and in the grow room you will deffo want to be playing with macros, so I had a look around ebay for you, to find something similar that deffo had macro feature. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FUJI-FINEPIX-...0|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318|301:0|293:3|294:50 is about to end, but you will still be able to see what final price it went for, and take a look for another like it if you like it. 1cm macro at 8mp will allow for some nice close details. Esp if you crop.
its even got the nice telephoto lens your looking at.

Hi Shaun, I had a look on ebay at the specs, it says that the closest focusing distance on that model is 25cm with a "smc DA 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AL lens". Is that the one that you'll be getting with it? I only ask because for £800 (rough currency conversion) you can get one hell of a camera. To my mind these days true slrs are only for High end Pro photography with 20+mp cmos chips, anything less and you're better off looking at something like a nikon P80 or the one I linked you too, as you'll save a shit load of cash, and get more functionality out of it, but hey man, it's clearly your choice, and I can't wait to see pics from what ever you get, I love watching new cameras being tested.

Unfortunatly i only receive a disabilty pension so outlay of cash isn't an option i could scrape up a couple hundred in a couple of weeks but its hard, the review i read about it says all pentax lenses are usable and i have several lenses and and 1:4 reducers, they are twist on but it says there is a converter, i had spent alot of money on these lenses when i was at school and working but when digital came in it all got put into the storage room at my good old mums(Happy Mothers Day) and has sat there for the last ten years there abouts. It all started when i was showing the wife the link to ebay and the cameras on there and she got her mind set on something now she wants it and wants it now(cant wait, she also has the photography bug) so i might not even get my hands on it, we will have to see

Yes i will look at these if i dont have one in my bag of tricks thats funny we were taught how to make one out of a roll of cardboard and a sock it was crude but it worked lol.
And the pawn shops around here have alot of lenses ranging in price from$15 upto $90 for a lens that was about 10" long

Here are some photos of a plant that i spoke about a few posts ago with life issues i gave up on it and just let it go but it has thrown up some nice trichs and a very pungent sour smell almost like cats piss, unless some of the local cats or wildlife have made the smell :fsu:
