The Gelatos are going to be in 5 gal bags and I'll be using used soil(amended). They should get really big if I don't screw up :)
I run my lights 24/7 also....don't think I ever mentioned that.....
Dropped the temp down to 80f to see if the Skittlez will give up some purples.

The Skittlez front right has some crazy leaves.

Great to see this thread. Just wanted to chime in as I purchased one of these for $230 as well, and couldn't be happier. I've run COBs for years, and this fixture is putting out ppfd to exceed my Timbers. I'm starting to see a pattern where these Chinese makers (who all must have some connection to a more central manufacturer in their city) come out with lamps at decent prices, then after they sell a bunch the prices go up. Massive amounts of QC issues, but if you get a lamp without issue you've scored a great fixture for a great price.

Great! Feel free to share your results here too. A lot of people didn't understand what a steel this light was. Of course heard "it won't grow dank"...."it doesn't have samsung 301h" or whatever the most expensive fad for the month is. While trying to figure out what the diodes were, I learned that there are just a few factories making diodes and a ton of companies labeling them as their own. I have no doubt the samsung and others may be more efficient.....but how many years can I run this paying $100/yr more in electric till I get to the $800 price tag they stick on them?

I haven't vegged anything under it yet. Please share if you have or are currently. Going to start some Gelato autos from seed and put 2 under this light and 2 under a couple of Bestva 2000w for comparison. Pretty sure what the results will be......I paid almost as much for 1 of those Bestvas as this thing cost.

Internode spacing on a seed plant. Significant amount of blue in this fixture contributing to tight spacing. I actually lowered my dli to encourage a little stretching after this. This plant was an American hybrid crossed with a mixed-used Himalayan variety.

Dr. Bruce Bugbee of Apogee & Utah State argues a lot of growers worry about spectrum or diode choices instead of worrying about having enough light. These sort of fixtures dump light at a great price.

Looking good! :canabis:

I was all worried about spectrum and diode make at first. Now I just sit back and watch my plants loving life. The big difference I noticed was buds extending all the way down a stem and density was much improved. Nice to see it veg's well too!

People almost never have enough light. I wish manufacturers would be more honest with claims. I advise for a lot of new growers as my state has recently gone legal, and they will have bought a lamp that's listed for a 4x4 but you find out it's 1/4 of the light intensity they need for their space. My primary concern is ppfd and dli, and this lamp has not just good output at center but decent output at edge.

This light also proves a good light does not have to cost as much as what the big names would like you to believe. The latest, greatest, and most expensive is not how you should be light shopping. imho of course :smokeit:
