Sockets are cheap. You should order those from a local electrical supply shop and order the sockets and bulb supports made by Etlin Daniels.
http://www.etlin.com/ED_pdfs/C_Compact_Fluorescent.pdf
If you prefer, you can order 2G11 sockets from here. $1.99 each - they come in packs of four.
The locking sockets from Etlin on page 17 of the above .pdf are superior. Part you want is CFG211-RSM-REL - comes with a pin locking feature on the socket which is highly desireable. Electrical supply shop will charge you about $3.00 a piece. You may have to wait a week to ten days. Big deal
Order the bulb supports at the same time. They run about $1 each.
Don't get 2G11 sockets on eBay.
Hey Fatigues...a fellow Canuck eh?,
AH kits come with a *water resistant* socket. That is the expensive bit I mentioned earlier. They are have molded skirt that fits snuggly around the lamp's base. While they are a bitch to install, I thought it made all kinds of sense. While we are in winter right now, summer can be a bit humid. Also their Miro4 reflectors are awesome. You also get a top quality Fulham ballast and all of the bits and pieces necessary to put your lights together. I could not find a local supplier for the sockets or anything else. It was a big disappointment.
I must have spent 2 months researching everything reading ScrubNinga's, Dr BudaGreens and many other posts and looking for suppliers. I came to the conclusion it was better to buy a whole kit than to try and find all of the bits.
Just my experience,
