The dems had a chance at winning with a populist leftist and they picked Hilary Clinton. Not the registered dems, but the party picked Bernie. They then did the same thing in 2020 with Biden over Bernie.
They were afraid they would lose power like the republican establishment did with populist candidate trump.

For real, that pissed me off. I voted for Bernie Sanders in the primary against Hillary he won the vote in my state, but the super delegates said "fuck you, you're getting Hillary Clinton." No way in hell will I vote Democrat again, unless they actually have someone decent, but they're all anti gun and want to tax us to death for welfare bums and now they want to give it to illegal immigrants?
I can respect an immigrant who learns English and comes to America to work because it's their life long dream, but these assholes won't attempt to learn English and they're taking decent jobs. They don't have respect for America or Americans, they're here to take the money and run.

My observation about this election was that more people responded positively by being communicated with through the lens of class, than by their identity group.
