2015 Yogurt Cup Grow Contest

so this zam on the left is 5 days in (start flower 14.1.)
and the jaggen now 2 days(start flower 17.1.)

those 2 will get watered by hand and 3 others, the acc and 2 still in cloning progress, go then to the pump station

Here are my entries; 4 autoflowering Spyders and 1 autoflowering Black Cream. There will most likely be males among the Spyders, hopefully just 1.

I will grow them in cheap coco with GHE FloraMicro and FloraBloom. I made 4 small holes in the bottom of the 180g yoghurt cups for drainage, few of the cups have a cotton string going through the bottom in case I can't be around to water them.

The grow area is my 25x24x50cm microbox . It has a single 150w 6500K COB LED, not sure about the actual wattage though. A single 120mm computer fan handles all the air exchange.

i grew a few autos last year,1 in 2gal pot a 5 outside.
none got any biger than 12 "in tall.

I plan on planting the seeds tonight or tomorrow. I see you guys talk only good things about coco in here, so I figured out I should run the soil recipe I plan to use by you guys.
So here it goes:

First I shoud specify that I will add a layer of perlite at the bottom, cause the cups will stay in water for some time during this grow, and I don't want the mix too wet. This is also why I was looking for cups that are more tall than wide.

The mix I plan to use is:
- 25-35% peat
- 20-25% cocopeat
- 15-20% spaghnum moss
- 10-15% perlite (not counting the bottom layer)
- 10-20% well matured compost made mostly from cannabis plants

Basically this is along the lines of what I use for planting all the time.

Is there something I should change? Any suggestions?

it really sounds like a good mix to me but i think once you get it involved with a yogurt cup everyones mix looks like this .......

well imo, the growing in yogurt cups is a crapshoot to begin with. lol

week 2:

let the cup dry out too much already so I had to re-evaluate my procedures and thinking I could somehow take an organic entry to completion.
the seedling seems to be sated...

couldn't bring myself to shitcan the three pathetic looking revegs so they gain an entry to stardom. lol

began feeding with leachette from my worm bin and some molassess and fish hydrosolate.

the black gold ewc mix harbors insects so they have been treated with azomax and BT.

I've never done dwc but have got to come up with some solution similar in nature, for now a dip will have to do.

Black Domina x Black Domina

This is my B pheno, it's usually shorter and has symmetrical branching, that spirals upward. She's really spicy with a peppery terps, beautiful structure.

This was from Sensi Seeds. I have had this one handed over to me, after a couple years of a buddy running her. He has since past away, so she's kinda special to me.

I just ate my yogurt, so here they are:



The Raspberry (Himbeere) Yogurt will be the home of a Santa Haze cutting which still has to root, the small one (150gr) contains a Purple Haze x Thai Seed and the final one a Guatemala All seeds are regulars of course, men will be replaced with clones or other seeds, depending on the time

I'm using straight CocoGro and going to hand water for now but I'm looking at drip systems so that could change. They get MaxiGro/Bloom.

Like most elite growers, I'm vegging under some CFL bulbs and flowering under T5 tubes.

doing one clone and one seed. The clone is Indigo, I started her last year from seed and really enjoy her flowers exotic outdoor and frosty pretty plant indoor, I have pics in my other albums for whom want to see how she should be but micro this time. The seed is from a breeding done by myself and I want to see a sample and to see if the father is a good breeder since I have used him for several other crossings. The seeds obtained for that breeding is from Purple Caper seeds. My medium for the clone is 25% coco 25% perlite 50% tupur from royal gold. The seed is in 100% tupur from royal gold. I use canna start for seedlings and soaking my root riot cubes. Once established they will be on house and garden aqua flakes. The clone will flower under a 1000w hps in about a week. The seed once popped will go under a full spectrum led I bought from lowes 16w color spectrum is soft white 3200k with 1065 lumens with a red and blue 12w led to add color to the spectrum. The seed yogurt cup has a few holes in the bottom. The clone I made the yogurt cup more like a air pot due to higher intensity environment its going in.

small Pumpstation, Wald-style

hardware:

-pump, 600lph
-gardenhose ~12,5mm and clamp
-pvc tube ~11mm
-digital timer, 20 on/off cylces per day, >1min
-scissor for drilling holes
-2 storage boxes, eu norm 400x300x235mm

I drilled the holes a bit smaller than the tube/hose that must fit through so it sealed very tight, a scissor is a good tool for fine trimming the holes diameter.

I fill the lower container to the handles opening with nutrient solution and put an empty clone tray to the upper container to make for dry asses above the small leftover water table.
You can also drill a small hole in the bottom so everything returns to below but thats not crucial and makes it more complicated.

Look good all, I plan on joining myself. I just cant decided on what I want to grow in my yogurt cups. I most likely will be taking clones from either one of the following:

FOS Dieselicious (Grand Daddy Purp x NYC Diesel) - 3 female plants
Hazeman Fat Purple (Purple Rhino x G-13 x Fat Marty) - 4 plants, but so far 2 have show to be males, so will be disposing of them.
Next Generation Grapefruit Diesel (Grapefruit x NYC Diesel)?

Any particular ones you guys would like to see? I plan on cutting clones as soon as i set my cloner back up, but been trying to do it for the past 3 days now, hence the name. LOL
