2015 First grow outdoors PNW 45°

Yes, i bought a good amount of white widow and it was some killer bud that I was able to yank some seeds out of. No clue whether it was a hermie that was pushed too far ( my belief ), or a pollinated plant. But either way I popped 14 seeds and out of those i found one that was really indica looking to me, squat and wide leaves, great structure and vigorous. The sativa leaning pheno I chose was exactly that, a plant which was vigorous, grew well and showed quite a sativa structure to it. Although the ratios might not be 60/40, based on the structure of all the plants i popped and the phenotypic ratio from the 14 seeds, i'd say its pretty near.

Never finished indoors. The plants smell super lemony. Thanks for all the replies and props! Been super busy and not a single day off lately so the garden has been free flowin' and growin'

Today was kinda a messy and bad day.. but not too bad...

1/4" of rain and 10-20 mph gusts really threw my plants around... my sativas got battered not being previously netted or staked.. Sadly I have been too busy to do anything about it, so today on lunch I had some help build a center trellis that stands on either side and has a wooden brace across the center of all the plants, with a string 4" on the other side of the side braces and across. They also helped out by stringing the tomato cages to the stems, although the tomato cages almost got ripped out of the ground today.

I only lost 4 small outer branches on the back shaded side of the center two sativas. I call this a lesson learned and not a bad loss. Out of everything that has been going on I will consider it my mistake. I need to work on it tomorrow and net my larger plants. I picked up 7' t-posts and 100' of deer netting to use.

Buddha these winds hit me as well. it was somewhat devastating. we had more like 2 inches rain and 50 mph winds but all of my gals survived somehow they were askew and looking pretty beatup. but i rescued them. today they all look okay slight dead leaves from wind stress etc. a few broken branches nothing to be worried about otherwise i think im gonna be alright. ill put strings throughout the garden tomorrow after everythign has a day free of rain and wind. this was really an unexpected disaster. this type of storm in august what the hell. thanks god... i hate you now...

Crazy right? They forecast bad weather until thursday...

Whats rain gonna do to my third week of flowering? The buds are tiny enough right now I am hoping they wont mold.

So decided to take some pictures at the end of week two of flowering to show you guys.

Vertical pictures incoming.. Second post will all be horizontal :) Framing saved my ass!

Indica white widow plant 5

Supporting middle sativas from branches hanging.

Framing seems to do its job and I need to add some supports and stuff monday. Going to do the netting monday as well.

Looking good man. You'll definitely want to get some trellis up like you mentioned as they are full on stretch mode right now. Those are going to end up pretty big

Everything is doing pretty good. We got some sun yesterday which dried the buds out, and today was overcast but no rain. I was able to get my stakes up and netted the plants. although this doesn't tie up everything in the center, it supports the sides really well and the top kolas I had to break open the netting to allow them through. Feel like this should accommodate any more stretching and the growth of the buds.

Feeling out whether I want to do the same for my indicas, because I have enough netting to do the same to them.

Figured I'd kick start the ol' camera and give you guys a better view of things from here on out ;).

I haven't used this camera in years and need to figure out the macro settings, but until then.. Here's some random manual zoom auto focus shots.

Wow! Those are some super lanky broads huh? You have at least two weeks of stretch to go I feel like. Looking good

I need to get my indicas netted up. Wish the netting had larger holes but thats okay. The netting is really holding my sativas steady. I'm hoping for a tiny bit more stretch with a LOT of bud growth!

I fed today with full strength bloom nutes. Been going great!

Been super super busy. Woke up sick and it keeps gettin' harder.

Not sure when I'll be able to net my indicas. I don't really have a day off so I gotta juggle everything when I can. Anyways, took some pictures today.

They really liked my feeding yesterday, and were pointing so far up this morning I've never quite seen every node site pointing up like it was. Started seeing a lot more frost on the plants which is a great sign!

Gonna start off with an overview, although they've gotten too big to really fit in the same frame I've taken all the other photos at.

Standing up on a chair looking down on my topped Indica in a 5 gallon bucket.

And one of my favorites I've taken so far is this perspective of a top kola on the sativa. Lovin' it!
