Bigger sour60 phenos...Looking very promising already... and seem to love the double pots and extra root depth!

20/4:tiphat:

Looking Great!
How old are those sour60 in the pics?
No question, that container size can restrict a plant size in soil.

hi 20/4. very nice setup. I'm going to grow some AF in a small cab with a 150W Hps.
When do you change the 1/2 gallon pot to the 3gallon pot? When the plant shows sex?

Sorry i didnt get to you sooner, you are correct, with the onyx i kept them in .5 gallon pots and when ALL the plants sexed i moved them over to 3 gallons, except males, i keep males in smaller pots, because of space issues i can afford to put a male in 3 gal container... This time around im doin somethin a lil diff with sour60s, im testing a "double potting method" i saw used by BOG and it seems to be worknig great, im only using 1.5 gallons of soil per plant but the pots are taller than my 3 gallon ones and they seem to be loving it! Cheers!

Great looking pics man, cant wait to see the other onyx buds and those sour 60s take off. I'd guess an ounce and a quarter.

Thanks for the kind words:tiphat:

Im currently only using 150watt HPS light, when i max out as much as i can achieve with this light i will add more light... Sour60 are about 35 days old..:jump:

I got the double pot idea from BOG, im only using 1.5 gallons of soil(used 3 for onyx) this time around and they are already the same size height wise as onyx..

P.s sour60 are around 35 days old

Final weight of the first onyx is....

Final weight of the first onyx is....

30.2 grams, Not bad for one plant in soil for 65 days!:fartyparty: (Also smoked 3-4 grams of sample bud, also a whole branch of her was filled to the brim of 150 nice looking seeds)Im pretty sure the other onyx will out weigh this one...All is going into a jar to cure for a lil bit... Here are some pictures! I will post my final thoughts later, in a hurry now:tiphat:

Sad thing is, is that "Sour 60" is lookig more like Sour 70. I have been trying oh so diligently to keep them that fast but it might take a little more. Also I might be able to help you out with some pollen.

I usually start all of my seeds out in 44-64 oz. cups from conveniencve stores. Ofcourse I put holes in the bottom. When sex is determined, the ladies go into 2-3 gallon pots using ERT (extreme raised transplanting). Its important not to let flowering fully onset before transplant, just as soon as I can tell for sure then they go. Males are kept in small cups, and the best to show under such cramped conditions wil be used for breeding. Not just that, but vigor, odor of stalk, tightness of pollen sacs, branching, and over-all health determine the best to use Males as well.

I use what I call "super-soils", making a mixture so exact, that it last the entire grow nearly without any liquid nutes/ferts. I use strait water from beginning to end. I might add a drop of a basic well rounded liquid nutes very sparingly, at 1/4 strength. Remember less-is-more. 24/0 light regiment if possible, and "shock ripening" at the end. This means watering with very cold water, and 2-3 days of continuous darkness at the very end.
