El Professor420 - So are you saying that the no pest strips do not work against spider mites when you have them? Like, you get the mites even with the strips up in your garden?

I managed to get to a store that sells the Hot Shot No Pest Strip2's. I purchased 3 and hung one in each of the grow boxs. Cross your fingers for us that these little bastards are dead tomorrow!

Spider Mite update! So far the no pest strips are working. Each time I look I see a little more dead mites. We will be doing a thorough cleaning of the box's.

Hey crzy, Im pretty sure the pest strips are meant for flying insects. I think you have to treat spider mites with neem oil or another type of organic pesticide. Ive never had any personally but this is what I understand from what Ive read. Hope this helps! Peace

Hey Tyler!
We thought the same thing to, until we read the instructions on the packages. Hot Shot No Pest Strips 2 are supposed to kill Flying, Crawling, Visible, and Hidden pests... Plus as stated above, more and more of the little bitches are falling off the leaves(cuz they're dead) and landing in a nice little pile on the bucket lids.

Well hello everyone! Sorry for not updating in a while. Have been really busy lately. We want to upload some pictures but it doesnt seem to be working at all. Acts like it uploads the photo but skips the "processing" page where you type in details about each picture....

Spider mites are gone, after spraying the plants once a day with a 1:1 mixture of ice water and high gradef rubbing alcohol.

We started the flush with Evo#1 on the 8th, and are hoping to cut her down on the 22nd. Evo#2 is now starting to flower, showing lots of hair. Evo#3 was accidently broke completely in half while trying to bend her down a little, so far she seems to be healing up.

We hope to get some pictures up soon so you all can see the huge girl in all her glory.

Glad to hear you got rid of the spider mites. I had no idea the pest strips worked for those, good to know in case I run into any problems with them at some point. The big girl is looking super frosty. Cant wait to see the smoke report on her. Looks like you have your Evo #2 under control, she looks great. Keep up the good work. Peace.

Thanks Tyler, we can't wait to make the smoke report :)

Also we think the next evo lav's that go in should be older and more trained before flowerring them.

I think once I can replace my PH meter probe, and make sure all my water for all my buckets is at 5.8, i wont have as much difficulty rooting clones. Are there any gels or powders i can get to dip the cut into, then put into my bubble cloner? I would think not because of the bubbling water washing it off...

Though I have had no issues with cloning using gels, I have never used a bubble cloner either. I heard that rooting powders work well in bubble cloners since it turns to a gooey Bisquick like substance after it mixes with water and doesnt wash off the stem easily at all. Just a little info.

Since that post, we've had 100% success rate rooting clones taken from the Evolution Lavender plant, with 5.8 PH water and a small dosage of Hydrogen Peroxide.

Surely you've chopped that giant evolav crzy. Those buds look scrumptious. You'll have mad good trim by the look of those frosty leaves too.
Glad you got clones of it.

caligreen - The macro shots of amber trichomes are from an unrooted clone of the big girl. It sat in flower cycle in 5.8ph plain water with no air for two weeks and turned purple and amber.

I used a pocket microscope and our digital camera to get the good shots of amber. Evo#2 is shorter than we were expecting, but she is healthy and growing.

hazy - No, no cut until shes purple like she is ment to be! Take a look at these pics on day 91, compared to last post of pics from day 86. So much more color coming in! It gets me excited!

She is sitting in 5.8ph plain water with 5tsp of florakleen to her 8gallons of water. Temps are below 70, and she still smells strong. Almost a slight skunky odor.
