Heya Pure - thanks bro - good to see ya - grab a cold one.

Sorry Boris - what you see is what you get - haven't grown out any of those mentioned, I mainly work sativas with a mingling of choice indicas for tolerance variation. I'm sure any will do well for ya, the new recent strains and crosses have been worked for their indoor qualities and all are a breeze to grow. Work on building up a room or cabninets/closets and get it dialed in to a strain, then the rest will fall into place. Until you get a dozen grows behind ya it's overkill to worry about yeild, etc - concentrate on growing to full potential and no matter what strains ya settle on it'll be easy. It's all a weed, we just have to give it what it needs and reap the flowers.

While yer developing yer style I can help with soil-less and nutes, and if your strain of choice has problems I should be able to help out there. But as for growing out new strains you'll find some that just make the grade and get added to your perpetual grow, others are cool to try but don't quite make the Keeper Status and get passed on or dropped from the lineup.

I hear ya on the 75 posts - used to be 200, so consider it fortunate. Ask questions, introduce yourself and growstyle preferences, make friends, you'll hit 75 posts before ya know it. Some like chat, others avoid it like the plague - some of us have just been regular chatters since the site was launched and it's become our daily clubhouse to hang & chat about the days' events, whether they be good or bad. You may find that it's not your bag and decide to hang in the Den or in the Grow Forums - it's all good, we're all brothers in arms in our fight for the right to use our plant of choice.

Good luck - feel free to PM or post with questions, if I can't contribute there are many that watch the thread and can pop in their observations and help.

Very cool room 1toke, somthing else very cool is a couple of your cuts ended up with my brotha jaws and then gifted to me. Not sure if your following my thread or not but the Cherry AK47 and ECSD im growing are both your cuts. karma's a wonderful thing my friend soo thanks to your generosity I got to grow these wonderful plants. Since there your cuts thought I would post some pix if ya dont mind

and your ECSD cuts, I had a few doupts about this one at 1st, but not after she started to flower, straight up sour fuel smelling and tasting, broke a branch off by accedent so I got some early taster, bomb ass weed no doubt

thanks for the very in depth answer 1toke! ive got 5 strains started right now with the intention of finding a few mothers. After that im gonna aim for 3-4 plants rvery two weeks. I know i can do it if i prepare and set everything up well right off the bat. Its people like you that choose to share knowledge that you have accumilated over the years that makes it possible!

Thanks 70's - that gal looks familiar. A real stinker too, I had to get out of the habit of leavin the rollin tray out - stunk up the whole house. Now I have to pop open a jar and process a nug at a time to keep the odor down. ECSD has that quality in the smell to gets you coughing before you even toke it - great party favor.

Good job on flowerin her out, hope ya got cuts to expand on....

I have something to add to 1toke's tinkerer forum!!!

__________THE 12 DOLLAR VENT FAN___________

So you've got your new HID light and reflector hanging up. If you have one
of those reflectors with the vent slits cut into them (most of the basic
reflectors have these), then there is a fan you can buy which will help
eliminate heat. You get this specific product:



This is the Hamilton Beach 04261, the True Air Plug-Mount Odor Eliminator.
Purchase this item and hook it up to an extension cord. Remove the outer
plastic covering and the carbon filter inside of it. After you do this, you will
find that by some sheer coincidence, the outside plastic cover will hook on to
the ends of the metal hangers which hang your light from the closet rod (or
wherever you are hanging your light). It lines up perfectly with the vent slits
which are on the ends of your reflector. If you happen to have vent slits on
the top of the reflector, you can sit it there as well and it eliminates heat
from the area around your HID bulb. It just sits there hanging on the two
ends of the metal hanger which are jutting up into the air, threaded through
the circular notches on the top of the reflector from which it hangs. If you
want to, however, you can use Gorrilla Tape (hi-strength duct tape) to make
absolutely sure it won't fall. (I highly recommend Gorilla tape, by the way....)

Of course, in a perfect world we would all have super sleek vent-fans hooked
up to duct tubing. This set-up works a little better, but you'll be suprised at
how much heat this little 12 dollar vent fan dissapates. The tops of your
plants will be significantly cooler, which allows you to place the plants closer
to the light without fear of burning the leaves or flowers. Buy a couple more
of these fans if you can- they are useful especially in tight space situations,
and to blow directly onto the tops of the plants. If you leave the front
plastic covers on, they will help reduce odor. However, for venting purposes,
it is best to just remove the cover and the carbon filter so the fan can be
placed more closely to the vent slits on the reflector. This way the fan's
breeze is stronger as well.....
