1990 Super Skunk, Garlic Bud, and Mendocino Joe's Skunk

Neville said Garic Bud was part of Critical Mass which also contains Skunk 1. I have heard of some pungent plants coming out of her too.

Shiva isn't dead, you can still buy both from the creators of both, that is, if you're speaking of the poly hybrids by Sensi and not of some of the landrace varieties with Shiva in its name. Now, as far as how good the lines are still, I can't say, but, I can clarify that Shiva & Garlic Bud both produce stinkers for I have a mother I've been hanging onto for years which I refer to as "Black Pepper Skunk", and the lineage is NL x Shiva. Wouldn't surprise me if one of the more famous RKS lines from back in the days contained Gralic Bud or Shiva Shanti in its lineage... stinky, skunky, goodness.

The rks I grew was in the early 90's. It came to the east coast from Huntington beach, ca in the 80's, idk when. The old guy gave us seeds and we found bag seeds. All we grew then was sk1, nl5, and nlxhaze. The sk1 was foul, lime green spongy buds with almost no hairs. Easy to grow, and most grew uniform. Smelled like a skunk the animal just sprayed up your nose. Experience it once and you never forget it.

I was given a cut last year, supposedly from the original mother and I couldn't even tell what it was, no scent flavor, looked different, major bummer.

I puffed some critical mass in the last year that had a tiny tiny hint of that funk, just a twinge.

I will do this myself as soon as I can get to it, but why havnt any of you grow out a bunch of sk1 and set to work? It was there, its still there, it just needs to be found.

I've grown straight shiva out a few times some fems from ****** which I lost the mother to which I was gutted about. ****** got the cut from a close friend in France which he femed. But more recently acquired a shiva clone from 92" which is very very similar to my ******s cut. Both cuts had a creamy lemon funk. I wouldn't say very skunky.

Funny you mention Huntington Beach. The last couple batches of truly skunky skunky I ever got came out of Orange County in the late 90s. Huntington/Seal Beach area....
