I wish my wife would just let me but she won't she qualms with the legality and the worst part about it is i could potentially have steady stream of super cheap clones right now but i can't act on it it sucks

yeah green grow - long term storage in mason jars in cool dark places is ideal - vacuum packing is the next step but not required. Putting it in the freezer will actually stop the curing process and I for one don't see it as needed. I have buds in jars from my first harvest under the 150 some 2 years ago and they are still very tasty and potent.

on the timer - papertime - I don't think using the cheapo 2 prong timer will be a good move, those are meant for a single table type lamp and are not heavy duty enough for what you need. That plus it won't be grounded. Just get the three prong one - like I said I prefer the digital ones as they are always on the exact time whereas the mechanical ones in my experience tend to lose time and the on/off will drift over time. This won't cause problems for the plant, but if you're sitting there waiting to check them when the light comes on at 9 and each week it drift a few minutes so that before you know it the lights come on at 9:10 it can be annoying. This is because these timers do not have a clock in there but instead rely on the 60hz cycle of AC to keep track of time.

hey I hope that works out for you but dam that to me would be a huge grow. I would love to make my grow as stealthy as possible and maybe even a hidden door to get to it you know I love the idea of hidden doors and pathways

Hey Suga, I understand what you are saying. I didn't realize there were non-capacitor hps lights. MH lamps have the capacitor built into the bulb, correct? The rule of thumb is plan for 80% capacity of your rated amperage on any one circuit. This leaves room for surges and spikes and will not trip your breaker.

yeah most of the lamps below 250 watts do not have a capacitor. not sure if mh has a capacitor in the bulb - I don't know too much about MH.

hey captainkronic - if you go to user menu and then to user cp (control panel) you will be taken to a page that shows all threads that you subscribe to. the default is to subscribe to a thread if you posted in it which means you should already be subscribed to this one. Then you can just log into your user control panel and follow the link to here. Otherwise it is a sticky at the top of the indoor forum. Also do a search on super simple scrog and bigfatj and you should find an excellent link to scroggin info.

papertime - sure it will breath more easily - and the glass does absorb some lumens so taking it out will increase the light reaching your plants - however the heat will be more likely to radiat down ward onto your plants. If you really want too be able to get the light nice and close and continue to use the same enclosure consider leaving cutting a hole in the top of the housing to let the heat out that way - a couple holes on the sides down near the glass and maybe a computer fan to pull air through and now you've got an air cooled hood.

Hey Suga bear i was planning on using your diagram to wire my 150w venture ballast but I seems my balast has four wires coming out of it instead of three. Has anyone wired this type of ballast before? Im lost but i finally got all my supplies together just need to start building.

LL - On almost every ballast I've seen, either there is a diagram on the side of the coil or all of the wires are tagged or printed with source or destination. If you can post a pic or list them, I'll be glad to lend a hand.

150w HPS club can candidate?

150w HPS club can candidate?

I’ve been thinking about growing in a small partition of my closet for a while now. I have a few ideas for keeping it stealth and such. I was thinking about doing maybe 1 or 2? DWC Scrog's, but I am not sure what lighting I should use for my small spacing. Would a 150w HPS do the job for me?? Here are my dimensions/layout what do you guys think?

I haven’t figured out what I am going to do for air intake, and c02(is co2 really necessary?)

I defiantly want to integrate a carbon scrubber, and a really silent exhaust fan that leads up to my attic and out the window about 10' or so away, anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

Hello fellow 150ers,

Glad to see some new faces and to know everybody is doing fine.

Here is an update of my grow. The plants grew a lot teller than I expected. I'm just hoping they will stop stretching soon. I have about a foot more vertical head room and will have to bend the tops after that. I know I should have grown the two in a SCROG but I'm still learning from them and will do that the next time I grow them out.

The two in flowering. The one on the left was the shorter one a week ago. The numbers on the pots are a reminder of what quarter turn they are on. They get a quarter turn every day and which sides on turn number one.

And here is a pic of each of the plants tops. I'm hoping they fill out nicely.

Good growing to all.
