my attempts at LST'ing/Canopy

well these are my two ladies which i have started the LST, is this what you ( Disco ) are talking about?? or should i fix anything??
The Bubba Kush is only a single tie LST i just want it to be a level Canopy
The Pure Kush on the other hand i am training to go around the pot to try to get the " dish-like" canopy.

am i doing this right?

greatly appreciated! im glad im doing everything correctly.
by the way , is it fine that she sticks out, and around the pot while im training her?

i am still trying to achieve the super cropping method, so hopefully ill get it down. im afraid of accidentally breaking the stem.

Keep a roll of tape handy. Anything less than a clean break is usually repairable.

day 1 flower for my baby blueberry:

here is the end of week 1:

i have about 10 inches of height before they tough the bulb, but i know from past grows that this baby wont grow more then 6 more inches!

this strain loves the lst, and responded extremely well. not so much to topping:

new pics from the no veggieman
the feeding of nutes has started this week
and the ladies seem to like it.
i use dutch pro a and b for soil and topmax as bloom stimulator
and a bit of guano extract no mercy .
the spidermites are still there but are steady .

the lebs are growing and showing their seeds .

my middlefinger is showen to compare to the buds nothing personal .

this was another exiting day n the life of willybibbit .
who did it ???

Hi, in my current (1st) grow im using 12/12 from seed with a full cab but i want to try another methods with less plants and to increase yield.

My lights are 150w hps (with reflector) + 4-25w CFLs (i use them to veg and then add to flower)

I was thinking 2 plants with 2 weeks veg and some LST in 7L pots. 3 plants is too much?

My grow cab is 2x2x4 (60x60x120cm)

What do you think is the best way to get the most out of my setup?

two or three plants can be scrogged in that space.
but the more soil you use the better .
in my growspace 75cm x 45 x 140 i use if i scrog 90 litres of soil .
and without veg i can scrog about 5 or 6 plants .
you grow em two weeks under cfls
and put them under your hps when you go 12/12 ?
then they grow very big .

Less plants typically means more veg time is necessary. How much veg depends on how long your plants continue to grow in flower. The sooner your flower stretch stops (i.e. one or two weeks,) the more important your veg time becomes. Strains that continue to grow throughout flower need far less veg.

The best way to get the best result is to have those 7 liter pots full of roots by the time you harvest. Some strains won't make it with only two weeks veg.

You might have to experiment with longer veg sessions to see how much your cab can handle as it takes on (either) flowering madness or tamer growth.

Few better examples than what I'm vegging atm.

I have 7 Sour Cindy99s and 1 Northern Light in veg. A single Sour Cindy would pack my flower chamber with the same veg time as 4 Northern Light.

As with everything, there's a down side. Here's what happens when longer veg time meets the wrong strain, lol. You'll get to know your respective strains after their initial grow. These got twice the number of weeks I'll do next time around.

No offence meant, but surly you're mistaken sir 90Lt of soil equates to over 23 gallons Don't want to confuse the new grower.
@ Seagal: Disco gave some great advice 7Lt is a good sized container, although I think your goal of a 2 week veg is a little unrealistic w/most hybrid or indica dominant strains. Use topping & low stress training (LST) to keep your plants short, but get them bushy. Just look around some. You'll find tons of fine examples here The key to using a 150 is keeping as many bud sites as possible about 4 - 10 inches from the bulb.
Good luck It's better to ask a dumb question than to make a dumb mistake Lots of recources here.

This thread is great i've seen all pages and read a few (its too much info to read it all )

For what i've seen i think the best way to get my plants with many bud sites is using scrog but im afraid of screwing it up and want to keep it simple.

Using topping & LST seems a good way to go, but i need more veg time (maybe 1 month) and i only got 1 cab to work with. As a new grower i want a quick harvest because more time equals more space for error (imo).

Im just trying to understand the number of plants=light=veg time thing.
If im investing 3 months or more in one harvest with 2 plants using lst and topping, thats giving me the same as maybe 4 plants with less veg. Is this correct?
The thing is with less veg, less time to proper lst and topping and less bud sites.

2 lst plants are better then 4 smaller ones IMO. Less to move around,keep track of, and less problems. KISS man!
