Looks super tasty.
On a side note my tent and filter is supposed to be here tomorrow so I will be setting that up with my 150 hps and putting my G13 Labs Blueberry Gum and Pineapple Express into there and the CSG Cheeze n Chaze (Exodus Cheese x SSSDH) and Chemmy Jones (Chemdog D x Casey Jones (reversed)) in there as well to flower! The G13 strains are Fems and the CSG are Regs so I assume I will get atleast one male out of the two with my luck and I will be doing some cross breeding and see what I can come up with! I am so excited to get them on 12/12 with the hps I cant wait til tomorrow!
Of course there will be pics too for you guys!

Here is a pic of the 4 plants currently in flower after 3 days 12/12.
Top left is Pineapple Express FEM (was 33 days from seed when flowered)
Top right is Blueberry Gum FEM (was 31 days from seed when flowered)
Bottom left is Cheese n Chaze REG (unsexed so far, was only 15 days from seed when flowered)
Bottom right is Chemmy Jones REG (unsexed so far, was only 15 days from seed when flowered)
I have two clones of the Pineapple Express that are rooted already and starting to veg again. Not sure what I plan to do with those yet if I want to veg them til bigger and put them in the tent to flower or flower one and keep a mother. That is to be decided still depending on how much room is in the tent after stretch and how many of the regs are males will determine how much room is in there too. The Pineapple and Blueberry Gum were freebies on my last order as were the Lemon Skunk and Kandy Kush I flowered last time under the 400.
Any males out of the regulars will be put outdoor to continue flowering until I can collect pollen and do selective pollenation of some lower branches on the FEMs and make some seeds for possible future use.
I still have 10 more of each Cheese n Chaze and Chemmy Jones beans as well as a few feminized strains in my seed vault too.

Hello everyone,
Haven't been here for a while so I decided to drop by and give you an update on my grow. It's the second try. First one kinda sucked. I made a couple mistakes and had to terminate early due to severe leaf burn. Smoke was harsh, smelled like grass but hey - it was my first time and I have learned new things. This time it's better. I have a single plant with 8 buds. It's in the flowering cycle. Plant is heavily trained due to the fact that I have underestimated it's ability to grow fast/stretch. I had to twist it/tie to keep it under the lamp. Enough talking, here it is...

Just got a Growlab 40 as a gift, its small but it will work, im thinking SoG? or SCRoG?

I need to buy all my supplies still, i got a 350$ limit(maybe 50$ more) anyone got some spare time to help me set this cab up? trying to get it going by the 23rd. So very soon!
Ive been thinking 150w + (100+/-w's) CFLs? Maybe even a 150MH/HPS if my hydro store has em? unless you guys think you could somehow make a 250 work in that cab but idk about that. I also need help with determining how much ventilation i will need, i want it to not stink up the place, im going to vent to my attic and out the side air vents, should i use a scrubber still? if so where at? the end of the hose? or the beginning/middle?
If anyone's willing to spend some time and basically tell me what i would need to make this cab run sweet and smoothly for my funds i would greatly appreciate it!
Also how many plants could i get in this area i have? Which method would you use to grow in this cab??

You've got enough height to put the fan and the filter in the tent. I wouldn't vent to the attic unless you're growing enough weed to compensate for the higher power bills. I wouldn't go with more than a 150, that's 85 watts per square foot, more than enough to grow decent bud.
If you're gonna scale up you might want to consider MH or CFL in the small tent. HPS will veg just fine but nodes might stretch longer and 85 wpsf is overkill in veg. Just my opinion.
The exhaust should tie directly to the top of the tent. You should have a fan that fits the fan port on the tent. Don't worry about intake fans. Open the flaps in the bottom of the tent. Just the least bit of negative pressure will force all air through the filter. If you go with a 150 watt bulb, you'll need ~80cfm to suck through a decent scrubber. Better to err on the side of caution. A bigger fan and a speed controller might be quieter than a smaller fan on full speed.
Speaking of the filter, you can hook it directly to the fan with no duct. If the fan/filter combo is too long for the tent interior, a "U" shaped piece of duct can minimize the length and possibly fit inside the tent.
The fan and filter would be at the very to of the tent and the lamp would be just below. An adjustable lamp will help because you'll want to get the small lamp as close to the plants as possible w/o burning. A 150 only penetrates a foot maximum in horizontal setups, considerably less if your canopy is full with substantial fan leaves. Here's a pic of how little headroom a scrog needs. The 150 can be within several inches of the canopy. You don't need the tube, a pc fan blowing on the bare bulb will work even better.
You've got about 15" more headroom than my cab. That's a great spot for the fan and filter because your plants won't be that tall from the small bulb. Training is key and grow style depends on your particular ideas and efforts.
If you plan to go with a 250, it would be too hard to cool in the small tent. Get at least a 24 x 24 and you could hang the bare bulb vertically. You could even rock a 150 vertical in a 24 x 24.

Well if i vented to the attic it would be pointed towards the air ducts up there to free flow to the outside, how does that cost more money?
Im just trying to make sure that smell leaves my room completely and with the scrubber in the box itself wouldn't that be risky?

I'd go the way you prefer. Inside the tent adds stealth.
It''ll exhaust your heat and air conditioning. If your heat was overwhelming and you had no choice, venting to the attic might be the only option.
A 150 won't generate enough heat to need the attic. Your tent won't run any warmer than +6*f over ambient room tent. Might even run cooler than that.
If your scrubber is too small, you might get a whiff.
Correct. You don't need fan(s) in the intake flaps. Your tent is about 7 cubic feet. You'd need to net ~50 cfm to cool the tent.
The closet changes things. If the tent was in your room, it would run cooler. The closet will restrict airflow but it can be done. IMO, a 100cfm S&P will do the trick and they're pretty quiet. While not silent, you can park a fish tank, a computer, a room fan or anything that makes noise. This will disguise your tent noise.
That will double as a circulation fan for the plants.
You could do a vert with small pots. But the canopy might have too little space between the bulb and the tent.
If you still want to vent to the attic, it's best to put the exhaust fan in the attic. Putting the exhaust fan in the closet will create positive pressure in your duct. Any leaks south of the attic will stink.
Fans suck better than they blow. Scrubbers are more efficient when sucked through as opposed to blown through. Good luck.

My closet doesnt have a single closed door it has 3 sliding ones and one is always open(for my tv). So it has alot of space. And Ill have to get some pictures up once I create my thread soon. Ill let you know when that is.
I guess my computer will cover it up if not I got a loud fan in my room I can turn on I guess.

Im trying to get a reasonably cheap 150w setup going and was wondering if the cheapest, easiest way to go was to buy a ballast kit, mogul socket and a junction box and wire it up, or get a security light that Ill need to take apart which are a bit more pricey. Cant find any 150w security lights for under $50.
You can get a security light from e-conolight.com. I bet Pipedream has really helped e-cono's bottom line. They're less than $60 shipped and includes the bulb. There's a security/remote conversion in the diy forums by SugarbearII.
htgsupply.com has an inexpensive remote with bulb and reflector. Last I checked they're $70 shipped and you might have hood options.

Yea so far Ive been able to find ballast kits without the capacitor or socket for around 23-30 bucks. Seems like a much better option than buying a security light that Ill have to gut anyway. The only advantage I can see with getting an actual light is that the wiring would be easier.
